Wow. 5/208M extension for Amen Thompson

Is that roughly $10M below a max rookie extension?  I guess he gets a trade kicker clause, maybe something he valued.  I really don't know his game all that well so I don't know how to judge this deal.

Three-time NBA All-Star Ben Simmons is back in the NBA after agreeing to a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the Sacramento Kings on Friday, his agents Max Wiepking, Sean Tribe and Ryan Arney told Andscape and ESPN's Shams Charania.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

don't know if that speaks more of the Kings' desperation or Simmons' agents ability to get their clients a contract out of nothing

I think Simmons will be a decent backup for Sabonis. Good signing for the Vet min.
