Not sure what you are saying.  Of course it gives NYK a big advantage to have Brunson on a $37M contract, there is no denying that.  But to question whether signing Harper and Walsh over waiting and going after vet min guys like NKY did, that is an entirely different thing.  That is not a question of how much they are willing to spend, but rather just on how you spend.  Of course that is important.  Teams can't afford to waste any contracts these days.  You need to make every contract count.  If Harper and Walsh end up being wasted contracts/roster spots, that will hurt the team.

I agree. They could have moved other pieces and picks then been in position like Knicks and 76ers to bargain shop vets.

During his year end press conference, he specifically mentioned that the team did not play well against the top teams in the league (3-11 record) and that they had back to back seasons with early playoff exits. I do not think he would have mentioned that if he thought the team was a contender. Robinson is a decent signing, but he isn?t moving the needle that much.

NEWARK, N.J. -- Michael Sweetney, who played four seasons in the NBA with the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls after a standout college career at Georgetown, has died. He was 43.

The Knicks, Bulls and Georgetown acknowledged Sweetney's death with posts on social media. He died Wednesday at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. No cause of death was given.

That is fine to believe that and feel that way. I used to until I let Moranis eventually pull me to that side after how the last two postseasons played out with us being bounced early not like we made the ECF.

The part I took from your post about the Knicks was how it seemed like you were implying they were spending more but at similar team levels. A better comparison would be the year after we won it all when we were still above the second apron. We did more to keep our team together when we were contending at the level of the Knicks.

I am not saying bravo to ownership and Brad as it has not been a good offseason.  I just think using the Knicks as a team spending a ton of money competing is just not true as much as you want to be upset with Brad and ownership. The current situations are not the best comparison and the results speak for themselves.
