Marc Stein on Bucks GM's demands
Several sources have conveyed that Milwaukee GM Jon Horst has established especially ambitious asking prices in Giannis talks. The word that keeps coming back: "Unrealistic."
The Bucks naturally want as much as they can if they're parting with their Face of the Franchise, so what constitutes unrealistic? Sources say Milwaukee has been asking teams for returns that would leave any club acquiring Antetokounmpo too barren to contend for a championship.
They should have traded him at the deadline then. That way the receiving team would have had two postseason runs with Giannis and maybe a better chance at convincing him to stay.
Now that he is basically an expiring, he can choose where he wants to go and that greatly limits their options (reportedly only Miami and Boston so far). So they are basically looking at Miami's package or whatever they can get for Jaylen Brown.
