Fox is on a 4/220M deal. Young just signed 4/212M. Reaves is likely getting 5/240M. Insanity.

I feel like Austin Reaves is the best of the 3 of them.

Not sure who I would take in D Fox vs Trae. My first reaction was "Fox easily" given his superior size, athleticism & defense. But Trae with his shooting might have given San An enough to beat NYK. Then again, maybe Trae's defense is so bad they don't get past OKC.

Yeah, I'll roll with Fox over Trae.

Reaves > D Fox > Trae

To people who think $50 million is too much for Trae, how much do you think he should have gotten paid?

Either way, all of those guys are getting 50M+ AAV, and Reaves getting close to 250M is crazy. A guy like Tyler Herro is also projected to get 4/200M in his next extension. These salaries are getting crazy and it's why I don't think Jaylen's future extension (2/142M) or even Giannis at age 32 getting 4/275M is as crazy considering what other guys are getting.

These are the numbers I have in my head based on what guys are getting paid:

$15mil full MLE = high end bench player, borderline starter
$20-25mil = below average but solid starter
$30-40mil = average to above average starter
$40-50mil = low level star player
$50-70mil = high end star player

At $50mil -- low level star player sounds about right for Trae, D Fox & A Reaves.

Adjusting these figures slightly, as Young's new contract is reported to start at the 30% max amount of $49.5M:

26-27: $49.5M
27-28: $51.9M
28-29: $54.5M
29-30: $56.9M (player option)
Total: $212.85M (matches what Young could have gotten from another team as a FA)

Did they think there was a team that desperate to give Trae a max deal?  Maybe they were scared by Chicago or Brooklyn?

I will say, if the Wizards are really going to commit long-term to Trae and AD, we should really be talking to them about JB.
