Such a unique player.
Looks like Q is starting to give us something resembling what Rob did.  Too early to tell if Queta continues to improve and can consistently provide what he?s given  the last 5 games or so.  Maybe most important will be whether Queta stays healthy which unfortunately Rob has never been able to do.   I hope Rob can put together a reasonably full season as he seemed like a good teammate and he is really fun to watch.

After 9/10 games into the season still a remarkable discrepancy between the number of teams with winning records in the Eastern and Western Conference. What does this mean?

I don't expect them to be a good team but I do expect them to be more competitive than they have been.

That is an interesting 3 guard backcourt. Three guys who can all creates off the bounce. They have some interesting depth behind them too with Patty Mills, I Collier, Juzang, Svi as 3rd stringers.

The big man positions are solid with Markkanen, J Collins and W Kessler. Those guys should make them competitive up front. A little Filipowski here and there. 

The SF position is obviously a bit weak. Cody Williams is very young. He looks interesting though. The loss of Taylor Hendricks to injury hurts their depth. Brice Sensabough doesn't play much. I am surprised they haven't gotten more out of him. He looked an interesting draft pick last season. I'd like to see him step up and claim that backup SF slot.

I think that team should have a legit shot at being a 28-32 win type ball club. Rather than an 18-22 win team which they have looked like during the start of this campaign.

Cade Cunningham's physicality on offense has been impressive tonight. He posted up and knocked around Dyson Daniels in the low post a couple of times. He has had some nice drives where he has just used his body to block off the defender getting back into the play. Really learning how to use his body well. And much stronger physically this year than earlier in his career.

He has had some trouble finishing at the rim when challenged though.

Hawks vs Pistons game has been a lot of fun. Two improving squads with a number of interesting players.

Dyson Daniels 18pts 8 steals. Commentators keep talking about him being on the All-Defensive team this season. They are right. He is playing at that level. Brilliant defense. Unusual combination of both being a strong stopper & strong at creating turnovers. One of the league's leading thiefs early on. Ala Tony Allen.

They said during the game that Cade has now had 3 triple doubles in a row in the last week. The first player to do that for the Pistons since Grant Hill in 1997. I am not sure if I heard this right but I believe they also said Cade only had 2 triple doubles in his career prior to this week. So he more than doubled his career triple doubles in only one week!

Lakers = 17pts 11ast 11reb
Hornets = 20pts 10ast 10reb
Bulls = 22pts 13ast 11reb with 7 turnovers

So Cade didn't break the 10 turnover mark for an ugly quadruple double ... but he has had one heck of a week.

Only 3 & 2 turnovers in the two previous games.

Bet Danny is banking on the above. Flagg as the new and improved Gordon Hayward. Keyonte George is going to be a nice player too.

Agree entirely - I hope Smart and Williams have great careers for the rest of their playing days.

James Harden is having a strange season.

(1) A career low TS% of 52.8% despite being up at 60.4% for the last 4 years since leaving Houston where he was at 61.2% for his 9yrs there.

(2) A near career high in turnovers at 5.2 turnovers per game despite doing far less with the ball than he did at his peak in Houston. He averaged only 3.5 turnovers per game for the last 4 years.

(3) Despite inefficient scoring and high turnovers, he still seems integral to the Clippers offensive success.

It reminds me of Allen Iverson on those limited 76ers teams. AI would be more inefficient because he would have to take bad shots so his teammates did not have to. He let them take only good shots that he would setup and they would have a higher FG% because of all the attention AI commanded. Harden is doing the same thing in LAC. Limited guys like Zubac and Derrick Jones are put in positions to succeed by Harden.

Harden's playmaking is still making him a major net positive on offense despite his inefficient scoring & high turnovers. Clips are doing alright. 6 wins and 4 losses. Harden is the main reason why.

Zion's health has been so disappointing. He finally got into shape this summer and he can't even make it 10 games into the season before he is out injured again.

It took one game to see how Zion's season would go.  He missed game 1 with "illness".  I believe it was a nationally televised game, and if you pay attention Zion seems to try to avoid those.  I know he's always out/hurt, but when the Pelicans are on tv, he always has some reason that he's not playing even if he's not injured.
