Sixers need to move on to "Capture the Flagg"

Their season is toast. Embiid not durable, Maxey now missing multiple weeks. Already 1-6.

Minnesota do not look a title contender.

Struggling again tonight with a mediocre Bulls team.

Ant back at PG for what looks like Minny's closing lineup

G: Ant
G: DiVincenzo
F: J McDaniels
F: Randle
C: Gobert

Can you imagine Kobe regularly being asked to be the PG instead of being put in a position where they can get easier opportunities?

But the Bulls saw Giddey as a young prospect with elite passing skills that could help improve fellow young players such as Coby White, Patrick Williams and Ayo Dosunmu.

"[Giddey] plays exactly how we want to play," Eversley told ESPN.

The Bulls view the Giddey acquisition as similar to when they traded for Lonzo Ball in 2021.

"My job is just to make these guys' life easy," Giddey told ESPN.

"I'm trying to get Zach the ball, Coby the ball, get these guys easy looks and take the load off them. ... We spoke about how we want to play: Get up the floor, kick the ball ahead and run. Look at the wings that we have, Coby, Zach, these guys getting out in transition, it's going to make this team scary."

Josh Giddey is a lot of fun to watch. He looks really good for Chicago. So many guys who can push the ball quickly and create quick offense for them.

I missed OKC losing their 1st game of the season a night ago. Denver beat them 124-122. OKC had big games from Shai, J-Dub, Chet. Denver had big games from Westbrook, MPJ, Braun and a monster triple double from Jokic.

Jokic = 23pts 20reb 16ast

What a triple double!

Look at New Orleans starting lineup tonight

G: Alvarado
G: Boston Jr
F: Ingram
F: J Robinson Earl
C: Y Missi

Only one legit starter in the lineup.

No Zion. No Dejounte Murray. No Trey Murphy. No Herbert Jones. Daniel Theis has been demoted to the bench. No Jordan Hawkins.

Good news for the Magic who are without Banchero. Already offensively challenged they look downright miserable without Banchero. So two miserable teams going head to head here.

Cade Cunningham's physicality on offense has been impressive tonight. He posted up and knocked around Dyson Daniels in the low post a couple of times. He has had some nice drives where he has just used his body to block off the defender getting back into the play. Really learning how to use his body well. And much stronger physically this year than earlier in his career.

He has had some trouble finishing at the rim when challenged though.

Hawks vs Pistons game has been a lot of fun. Two improving squads with a number of interesting players.

Dyson Daniels 18pts 8 steals. Commentators keep talking about him being on the All-Defensive team this season. They are right. He is playing at that level. Brilliant defense. Unusual combination of both being a strong stopper & strong at creating turnovers. One of the league's leading thiefs early on. Ala Tony Allen.

Cade Cunnigham with the game winning drive!!!

Tough shot he made. Heavily contested by D Daniels.

Milwaukee's 2nd units are depressing.

This was the Giannis lineup

C: Portis
F: Giannis
F: Connaughton
G: AJ Green
G: Ryan Rollins (??)

That is downright depressing guard play with no Lillard on the court. No ball-handling. No passing. No creativity. Not all that much perimeter D either. So limited.

Here is the Lillard lineup

G: Lillard
G: Connaughton
F: Andre Jackson Jr
F: Taureen Green
C: Portis

So weak in the paint. Only one legit big in Portis. I don't like him as a solo big. I think he needs a 2nd big out there next to him. To help him with interior D and rebounding. Taureen Green typically plays badly as a PF. Does not work hard enough to help out in the paint. Soft timid team in the paint.

Still, I might trust that Lillard team more than the Giannis team given how bad that perimeter trio is.

Cavaliers dismantled the Warriors.

Sounds like Cleveland is the team to beat in the East. They are just straight dominating.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
