I don?t think Higgins is a top 10 WR, and he?s going to get paid like one. I?d rather sign Ronnie Stanley and draft Tet McMillan. If the Pats keep losing, they could draft Travis Hunter, who I think is the grand prize.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

I don?t think Maye has missed a throw yet today.  The bomb to Bouttie was there, the other incompletions have been drops.

What is making people sold on Maye? Sure, he?s athletic and has a strong arm, but it takes a lot more than that to be successful as a QB. Just ask Trevor Lawrence. It?s going to come down to decision making and IQ, which is still a huge question mark with Drake.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

So you watched that game and you don?t leave feeling good about Drake Maye?   He made good decisions all day and was accurate as heck.  The Int was his only bad throw (at least that I can recall).  He had to get rid of the ball and had just been sacked.  No space to run. Bad throw; great poise throughout the game; good game overall by Maye.  I?m sold that he?s a young QB to get moderately excited about.

Maye IS the real deal

AVP, as much as I have bashed on him, to his credit has done better in recent weeks AND has contributed to Maye's development.

The biggest losers IMO though are Jerod Mayo, Covington (the DC), and Elliott Wolf.

Lol he was near-perfect out there. Can't win when your teammates are dropping balls, missing blocks, making stupid penalties,  getting XP's blocked, running bad routes.

This is a MINOR LEAGUE OFFENSE outside of QB. These guys are literally not good enough to put up 30 points to win a game like this.

Put Mahomes, Allen, or Brady on this team and it would be the same.

This team has been the worst in the NFL at drafting offeive players over the last 7 years or so. It's an absolute embarrassment,  this might be the least talented offense the NFL has seen in this century. Blaming Maye is insane.

He was near-perfect. Kid is a stud, it's just hard to tell when he's playing with a roster full of practice squad-level guys.

Yeah pretty impressive that hes doing as welll as he has with the team around him. He was so accurate today.  Would love to see him play with time and space in the backfield.  And a #1 receiver.

I feel good about his physical skill set, TBD on his football IQ. Seems to panic under pressure, which we saw again today with the Int at the end of the game.

A lot to like about the game today. But we are not going to win very often when we give up 28 points. And when we have two more turnovers.

Even Bourne, Boutte, and Douglas had decent games. Surprised the defense isn't better. Not surprised the offensive line has been bad.

Six games left. 2 v. a definite payoff team fighting for top seed (Bills). Two v. Probable playoff teams who will be fighting to stay in (Cards and Chargers). And two v. Bubble teams who need to win (Colts and Dolphins).

Pats should lose all six but probably win one or two.  They end up with 4 or 5 wins and high draft pick.

Huge off-season awaits.

Beating Da Bears last week was a huge mistake. Travis Hunter had his sights set for New England too...when he talked about what number jersey to wear (#12 but don't wanna wear Brady's number), etc.

Stafford's two TDs in the second quarter came on blitzes. So what adjustment did NE make in the second half? None. They kept blitzing, and Stafford got two more TDs while under pressure.
