At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

True. They also need some better receivers.

Saw the best and worst of Maye in those last two drives.  He has physical ability for days but that last play is just not a throw you can attempt in the NFL.

We have the worst roster in the league. Blaming the coaches is pointless. Nobody could win with this roster.

Drake Maye could be in college. He also could be sitting, considering the offensive line situation. He also could have offensive weapons.

What matters is that he is gaining confidence. He just forced OT and ran all over the Titans. None of these results matter for this year, but it's nice to see him make an impact.

I still don't like seeing him so vulnerable to taking big hits. I think it's the risk of having a mobile QB. Josh Allen, Jayden Daniels, and Lamar Jackson are all really good, and I think they all are overexposed. Any given hit and the team's season is in jeopardy. The Chiefs have managed Mahomes well, and I hope Maye can learn to be selective as he matures.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

I'm sold on Maye

I am NOT sold on Van Pelt. The guy is a football terrorist. "Yeah guys on 1st and 10, lets run it up the middle. THEY'LL NEVER SEE IT! Or hey, lets spice things up and throw a pass 5 yards behind the LOS to set up a 2nd & 15". MORON.

I'm also not that sold on Wolf but I'll give him a longer leash I guess. But his draft picks really aren't hitting (Polk especially) and the O-Line + lack of elite playmaking is still noticeable.

My worry is that they'll go into next offseason with a ton of cap space again and still not address tackle, #1 WR, etc.

I don?t get all the people being so sold on Drake maye?sure he has some good physical ability but he was a loser in college and hasn?t made an impact on winning at all so far in the nfl, in fact the patriots only wins are with Jacoby. Not sold.

I am sold enough on Maye that at least you know you don?t have to draft another QB with the first round pick. To me, that is the key. You didn?t expect to be good this season anyways. As a team or as an individual player.
