The Bucks did not extend a qualifying offer to TyTy Washington. Washington averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 assists while shooting 42.6% on threes for the Wisconsin Herd. The former Kentucky guard could be an intriguing development signing for a team in unrestricted free agency.

Those are some impressive G-League stats. I wonder why they are giving up on him. Hmm ... the qualifying offer was probably just too expensive for a team deep in the luxury tax.

He looks a good get for somebody looking for a 3rd string PG.

I doubt that the issue is the qualifying offer being too expensive for the team, and more it being too expensive for the player. QOs make sense if the player is worth more and/or you expect them to get other offers that you want to match, but for players that deserve 2-ways you don't want to offer the QO because they'll sign it and then you'll be stuck with them on the main roster. You're better off skipping the QO and just negotiating a deal with them.

I?m pretty sure Washington?s QO could have been for a 2-way since he had minimal playing time with the Bucks and was in his first year in the organization, as was the case with our 2-way QO for Drew Peterson.

That's a good match between player and team. Plenty of minutes available there, and they could really use a big who can at least sort of stretch the floor next to Zion.

The OKC tenure was a disaster seems he may only get a vet min somewhere for a bench role. Not sure he will be willing to do that

It would be nice to see them add a legit PG instead of only having the option of playing a combo guard (T Herro, J Richadson) as their backup PG behind Rozier.

If you literally mean ?about the same? then that is a loss because a lot of teams in the East got better. In any case, that roster does not look impressive, at all. They are back to Butler/Bam and a bunch of average (non-all-star) players. Riley is losing his touch. He should go after KD.

They didn?t want to do that so then I?m like, ?All right, well then it only makes sense for me to do four years, 212 [million]. At least pay me my money. If y?all going to trade me, ya?ll going to trade me, but at least now I?m not in a situation where I could have got more, had I just gone a free agency, then just take this deal where y?all could ship me. They didn?t want to do that, so now I was like I?m open to entertaining what?s out there.?

So he would have taken the 3yrs $150mil if he had a no-trade clause. He wanted to be secure in the knowledge he would be there in LA. And him and Kawhi would finish what they started. LAC refused the trade clause so PG13 wanted a 4th year.

So he was willing to take less if he knew that is where he would spend the entirety of that contract. LAC was not willing to make that commitment.

Looks like LAC bundled this negotiation right from the start and all the way through.

I hope they do not think this is adequate. They should be gearing up for a Championship run. Anytime you got 4 players as good as Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, Dejounte Murray & CJ McCollum you should be talking Championship. This is not a Championship quality center rotation.

They are saying the market for Ingram has been really bad as well. Few teams are willing to pay him the max extension he wants. Fewer willing to give up much value in order to have the priviledge of paying him those mega-bucks.
