Caleb Martin to the Sixers. That's a really nice pickup for them.
Yeah, they've done a good job filling out the team after signing PG.

I hate to do it, but I have to give Darryl Morey an A for the roster maneuvers he was able to make this off-season. A few weeks ago when there were rumors circulating that Paul George wouldn't consider Philly as an option, things were looking pretty bleak for them. I assumed they'd have to over pay mediocre role players like KCP or Kyle Anderson to fill out their roster. Not only were they able to sign George, but did a great jobs of patching together a pretty good supporting cast at a reasonable cost. I still think they'll look to make more moves during the season using the LAC picks they acquired in the Harden deal, which now look like they're going to have some good value.
I'm not sure Paul George moves the needle more than James Harden, to be honest, but I think the team looks perfectly primed for the Philadelphia playoff special: the second-round exit.
Second round exit sounds about right to me. Like I said, they probably had their best case scenario off-season, but I still view Boston and New York as hovering pretty significantly over all other eastern conference teams at this point.
Even if they are able to turn those LAC picks into another impact player, I think this teams window in which they can do anything of significance is 2-3 years given the fact that PG is now in his mid thirties and Embiid seems to be deteriorating physically before our eyes. Frankly, they're lucky to still have some relevance after all the blunders the franchise had made for the better part of a decade: Simmons, Fultz, trading Mikal Bridges, letting Butler walker, the list goes on...
