Sixers are trying to add PG13 and KCP. Have to say, if they can pull that off then they become another threat to Boston IMO along with New York (granted I'd still favor Boston and PHI/NYK have a lot of injury prone players too).

With Paul George opting out, does that bring the Clippers under the 2nd apron?

Still don't get how that works. Once they get under the 2nd apron, are they no longer subject to those rules, or is like the luxury tax, where you are a 2nd apron team for a full year if you are on a certain deadline date.

I think for the long-term draft pick penalties it?s the end of the year rules, but for trade/free agent rules it?s where you are the moment, with certain moves hard-capping you.

Nicolas Batum is available!  But probably not for the vet min.

Batum or Saric please

So I am reading rumors that X isn't coming back?   anyone else hearing the same?
I would be surprised if he came back. He should be able to get more money and more playing time elsewhere.

It'd be a coup if he stayed.

That would be fantastic for Philly if they pulled that off.

James Harden staying with Clippers at 2 years-70 million, no surprise

Feels like Harden is worth more than that. Hard done by.

Where is he getting more money and more time? The Pistons?

For a 34-year-old out-of-shape guy who only plays one side of the ball and falls apart in the playoffs? I think he's lucky to get that.

All said and done, Bucks will still be in the tier-2 hierarchy of the East, standing between Boston and New York/Philadelphia. Can't forget the Bucks have the second best player in the world on their team alongside 8x All-Star starting PG

The Bucks seem like a mess. I think New York right now is way better than the Bucks. The Same for the Sixers. Don't the Sixers only have two guys signed for next year?

Bucks are painfully old and have doc rivers as their coach. They to me are 6 seed material

There have been some rumors they may try to trade Lopez. Not sure what they would get, but would probably be good to get a younger big for him.

LaVine can?t stay healthy & has a big contract so doubt any want to trade for him

I think if a team like the Sixers strikes out on other top targets, they have to consider Lavine. They have cap space and failing to put talent around Embiid while he's in his prime will cost them any chance they have of contending in the foreseeable future. A guy like Embiid likely doesn't have many good seasons left either. Same for Miami if they lose key guys and don't land someone else. If Butler stays, he's not getting any younger.

Herro for LaVine would be worthwhile for Miami.

Give CHI a bit of a fresh start too.

Tillman wasn't even getting regular playing time here. He was back and forth with Kornet. Anywhere that offers him consistent bench minutes is better than BOS and lots of teams can offer him that.

I am not sure how much BOS can afford to pay him. Tillman is worth anywhere up to the MLE. Not sure it is worthwhile to match that when he is not even a consistent rotation player here.

KCP to Orlando.
$22mil per year. Seems fair.

I would have pegged him at $20mil per.

That is Denver finished as a title contender.

No KCP and no Bruce Brown Jr. No more titles.

They cannot win without replacing those guys. They are done as a contender until they do.

KCP is a good player and a solid improvement but they needed a better offensive player. They needed a genuine 2nd/3rd option alongside Banchero and F Wagner. That is what would make them a title contender. A 3+D player is not that. Just small steady improvement as a mid tier playoff squad.

It is a bit disappointing how this FA market has shaped up for ORL. That there were no better options out there for them despite having all that cap space.
