Rumors of Westbrook to Denver, possibly for Christian Braun.

I'd be shocked if Denver did that.  Fall of the Roman Empire.

The Bull's plan seems to be to make the play in every year and never get any better or worse...

Folks out there still think Paul George is the Paul George of 2014. Guy never seemed to be the same after that Olympic injury and jumping ship to the Clippers

He's lost a step, but he's still an upgrade over Tobias Harris.

Sure, if you think you?re getting the version who played 74 games last year, vs. the one who has trouble cracking 50 for the prior half decade

Players always seem to be able to play more games in a contract year!

Yeah, I saw Calvin Booth (Nuggets GM) talking a few days about how Christian Braun will be the replacement if KCP leaves. I would be surprised if they traded him for Westbrook.

I have seen quite a few Westbrook to Nuggets rumours though. That may happen. But they should get him cheaper.

Also, I don't know about Braun as the starting SG. He is a low caliber shooter. That is two low caliber shooters in Braun and A Gordon. They were reluctant to play two bad shooters together last year because of how it harmed their spacing offensively. Denver will miss KCP.

?The Rockets had a pretty good sense they would have a shot at Sheppard, but the important thing here was Houston passing on the temptation to trade this pick for a veteran,? Pelton wrote. ?I love how Sheppard, my top-rated prospect, fits with the Rockets' young core by adding badly needed shooting.?

Kevin Pelton had Sheppard as the best prospect in the draft.

Kelly Iko: Ime Udoka says there are similarities between Reed Sheppard and Fred VanVleet defensively, with their ability to get hands on the ball and be in the right angles. Adds 1-on-1 defending is the hardest thing to do and he?ll develop in the NBA, but they loved what the film showed.

Watching Sheppard I'm not sure if he's much better than Pritchard. Ime didn't seem to like Pritchard all that much and he was shooting 41% from three that year.

This whole thing is just embarrassing for everyone involved except Lebron and Bronny I guess?
So is Lebron going to force the lakers to give him minutes too?

?When he came in, he didn?t just want to work out, he wanted to compete and go at some other guys" Every knows Reed Sheppard can shoot, create for others, and make plays defensively, but his competitiveness stood out to Ime Udoka

Reed Sheppard getting some nice press clippings over last few days.

It amazes me how the Lakers haven?t really done anything to improve their roster. Is it because the players don?t like playing with Bron? Do they think JJ isn?t ready to coach? Maybe they?ll just tank this year to have a shot at Cooper Flag? JJ talking about player development and Pelinka refusing to trade draft assets just for the sake of trading makes me think that. It?ll be crazy though if they still max out LBJ. The organization looks like a mess at this point.

I think Bronny will play at some point. Not necessarily a lot but some games. A defensive guard is easier to fit in and play right away than an 3rd string caliber offensive guard who can't play defense.

Gabe Vincent is their only real defensive small guard. Bronny is the only alternative to him. So if they need a 2nd small defensive guard or if G Vincent is out injured again at some point next season, I expect to see Bronny to get the nod. Whether he can hold onto those minutes or not will likely come down to his shooting.

Max Christie had a similar opportunity last season as big defensive SG / wing but he couldn't provide enough offense yet to keep those minutes.

Their GM has been extremely reluctant to put those future picks on the table and make an all-in move.

He keeps looking for smaller patchwork moves. Patchwork moves aren't enough. LAL are too far away. They need a major move. That is the only chance they have to make a title run. Small moves ain't going to cut it. Their GM hasn't copped onto this yet. Looks like he'll waste the end of LeBron's career and AD's best remaining years in the process.

I hate Bronny wearing Nick Van Exel's #9 jersey.

A defensive role player cannot wear Nick's jersey ... that is sacrilegious!

JJ Reddick saying Bronny getting drafted was due to his "hard work" is absolutely hilarious. What a clownshow that organization has become with Lebron (and Rich Paul) anchoring everything
