with Zinger being hurt , and Al needing rest, this is not the year to skim, they need to spend and have 15 on the roster

A Center rotation of Luke and Queta when Al rests isn?t very enticing. Maybe JT plays more Center? I think Brad goes out and gets another vet big. If not X then i think Dario would be a good guy to consider. Wiseman is also intriguing but he?s not really a steady veteran presence.

I would love to trade for Santi Aldama as a backup 4. Could also play the 5 in a 5-out offense. Shoots 35% from 3.

KP missed a lot of games this year and we got by just fine with Kornet and whatever else (sometimes Queta).  It?s not enticing, but it was sufficient, and that?s enough for now.

But he was tout 2+ months straight. I know he kissed a few games with a calf strain, but for the most part it was a game here or there, especially on either end of a B2B with Horford.

Needing those guys to fill in game in and game out for a few months is a large ask. They may be capable, I trust Brad to decide if they are or if he seeks another backup big.

Well, there isn?t much to do, honestly.  The center position is really weak to begin with this year in FA, and we can only offer the minimum (except to Tillman).  And frankly, in the regular season it WILL be okay.  It?s probably good for the team to face some adversity right out of the gate so they don?t get complacent having won.

I actually like some of the center options who may be available at the minimum.  Theis, Saric, Eubanks, maybe Bitadze.

I haven't looked into the 4/3s as much.  Covington, maybe Kyle Anderson if he had a rough market.

We need a wing. We take JT and JB health for granted. If either of those guys go down, we only have Hauser (Brissett seems headed elsewhere).

Malik Beasley be a good backup
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

It's one of the reasons I would prefer us to fill out the 15 man roster.  KP will be out, and we're taking up two roster spots with very inexperienced guys (BS and Walsh).

Big:  Tillman/Saric/Theis

Wing:  Osman/Bullock/Holiday/Walker IV

Agree that a shooting big is still a must.

A vet wing would be nice. Not a Brissett because they have a guy already better than him in Baylor. Maybe a Lonnie Walker

Any chance they kick the tires on Joe Ingles? Been a fan of his for a long time. I know he?s a little long in the tooth but he?s a very intelligent offensive player. Can still pass and shoot and is 6?9?. Would cost likely just the minimum.

Reports last off-season were that the Celtics were in on Thomas Bryant before he went to the Heat. He opted out of his PO and is a free agent now.

He would be a very productive big to throw out there. He's a bit slow-footed, but you'd expect him to play the Zinger defensive role, just not as good.

We could only offer him a minimum. Can't afford that. Will probably end up with the Lakers (again).

I'd play Queta over Bryant. He couldn't get minutes over 80 year old Kevin Love... Queta had better stats than Bryant last year...

With Zinger out and Al being old, I think they still another big, probably another one and a half, Tillman would do as one, I hope they give anton a 2 way they way they can keep Oshae. I would be interested in Dominick Barlow, his option was not picked up by the Spurs
Whoever they bring in has to be comfortable with only playing occasionally. Al remains one of the top 6 on the team. He keeps himself in excellent shape and really hasn't noticeably dropped off. Any plan B for him isn't going to play much if Al stays healthy.

If Al has to miss games, they'll probably just adjust their defense a bit with Tatum maybe assuming some of Al's coverages and Kornet or Queta getting more minutes.

I will say that Brissett and before him Lamar Stevens played the role of part timer very effectively. I'd rather someone in that role be an energy and hustle guy vs a skill guy who can't find his rhythm because he's not getting enough minutes.
