While the Celtics could give him a raise, Spotrac projects the Texas native, who earned $2.4 million last season, will see that figure trimmed to $2.1 million for the 2024-25 campaign.

That sounds reasonable.

Who we talking about?

Good question.  Neither Kornet nor Queta were born in Texas, which normally is what is meant when referring to someone as a Texas native.

He went to high school in Texas.

Tillman might get a nice offer somewhere. I?d be happy to keep him at a fair though. I feel he can be a lot better with a full training camp.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Neemias Queta has agreed to a multi-year deal to remain with the Celtics.
Queta was out of the Celtics rotation for most of last season, averaging 11.9 minutes per game in 28 appearances. However, Kristaps Porzingis undergoing leg surgery will open up opportunities for players such as Queta and Luke Kornet, as KP is expected to miss 5-6 months. Queta isn?t a draftable player in fantasy leagues, but he may have streaming value throughout the season.

Kornet and Queta back.  And we drafted a 6-8 big in Anton Watson.

I think our bigs are set.

My question is will we resign Brissett or will we let Scheierman have a chance to earn that backup wing role?

Watson won't be on the NBA roster.  He'll be a two-way.

I'd love to sign Goga Bitadze as a replacement for Tillman if Tillman leaves. I was very impressed with Bitadze last year especially when he was in the starting lineup for Orlando. Strong interior defender & rebounder.

My prediction has been that only 2 of Kornet, Queta, and Tillman would be back. I feel like the next signing will be a vet wing, not Tillman. Tillman may be getting more than min offers.  I expect Scheierman to get a contract as the 14th spot. The 15th spot could go to Tillman, but not what I expect.

I am not sold on Queta. I see the potential, the ceiling, hopefully he surprises me.

With Zinger out and Al being old, I think they still another big, probably another one and a half, Tillman would do as one, I hope they give anton a 2 way they way they can keep Oshae. I would be interested in Dominick Barlow, his option was not picked up by the Spurs

The Celtics will only enter the season with 14 players.  They have 13 guaranteed contracts at this point, so there is room for one more, be it Tillman or someone else, assuming no trades.  And this assumes a 2-way for Anton.

Kind of feels like they'll bring Tillman back and that'll be it. Maybe 1 ring chaser chooses to join and essentially replace Brissett's spot (like a Saric or someone)?

It?ll be one or the other (Tillman or FA), but not both.  We have 13 under contract for next year, and we?re going to start with 14 because of tax concerns.

Dang.

Well then my #1 hope is Tillman, but if he goes elsewhere, go get Dario.

I wonder if CBS is fine doing the same method as last year though, just go into the regular season with a thin frontcourt and then reinforce it at the deadline with a depth big (Tillman last season)

I wish we'd just go with 15 from the start, but I agree it's unlikely.  It's generally pretty easy to dump a minimum salary at the deadline if need be.

It?s getting a little harder to dump now that we can?t send cash, and we don?t have too many second-rounders.  Certainly this is why Brad would have preferred to drop down in the draft to pick up a second, unless he liked Scheierman enough.

with Zinger being hurt , and Al needing rest, this is not the year to skim, they need to spend and have 15 on the roster
