Pete Carroll to the Raiders.
Liam Coen to the Jags.
Coen is a good hire. He's smart and can develop an offense with a talented QB. I'd get Lawrence a sports psychologist (or a lobotomy) to forget about the last four years.
There was some controversy with Coen. He flip-flopped between the Bucs and Jags. Initially, he was pulling his name out of the head coaching vacancy for Jacksonville and returning to Tampa to become the highest-paid OC in league history. Then hours later, Jaguars fired their GM Trent Baalke and Coen ignored the Bucs, lied to them, and ultimately signed with Jacksonville as their next HC. Heard he was using his "son was feeling ill" as an excuse to not communicate with the Bucs.
There's also another theory out there that Jacksonville's messy hire relates to Brian Flores' lawsuit. Jags had to fulfill the Rooney Rule and already interviewed Robert Saleh. They were also in the process of interviewing Patrick Graham (2/2 Rooney Rule) but did not want any of their plans to be leaked out to Graham nor the public and kept it under wraps. Plus, Coen got to choose who the Jaguars' next GM will be.
Sneaking in Coen so they could satisfy the Rooney Rule with Graham shows again why Flores is fighting this battle. Safe to say, the next time Coen visits Tampa Bay he will be public enemy #1 there. And, not sure why the Patriots always get the heat from the media over Rooney Rule things when the Jags did this even crazier lol.
