Looking very likely we play Orlando first round. They are the 7 seed and 1 ahead of ATL. Only way ATL passes them is if they beat ORL twice over the next week otherwise it's likely Orlando vs. Atlanta with the game AT Orlando

Play-in games are a surprise. 7v8 can go either way and we may draw ATL if they somehow upset that first game

Looks like Horford is "nursing" his knee sprain down in San Antonio tonight watching his Gators.

?I?m still very hungry, very driven, so I want to continue to play,? Horford told Bulpett. ?I mean, I feel good... It?s obviously a lot of work for me to maintain and be out here to perform, but? I love it. I mean, I love it. So, yeah, I want to keep playing. This is good.?

While he made it clear he is not planning to retire, Horford admitted his next contract with the Celtics hasn't been discussed yet.

?Not really," he said. "My whole thing was I don?t want this to be even a topic. You know, we?re locked in on what we?re supposed to do now, and that?s kind of that."

It doesn't sound like Al wants to ride off into the sunset quite yet.

Also mentions Clayton Jr as a potential teammate. I'd still prefer to draft a PF/C, but assuming we trade Jrue this offseason we could definitely draft Clayton around 28 if he's there.

Magic essentially have the homecourt wrapped up for the 7 vs. 8 matchup. 8 seed TBD, probably between MIA and ATL. Bulls were blown out today by the Cavs.

CHI up 10 on Miami, and they have an easy end to the season. Pretty good chance they could be the 8 seed playing Orlando in the play-in

With three games left, the Celtics are no longer fighting for playoff position. They are locked into the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Brown said his decision to play is not related the NBA?s 65-game threshold for postseason awards eligibility. With 63 appearances, he has to play two of the next three games to be eligible.

He said the remaining regular-season games are opportunities to experiment with his game as he gets used to managing the injury.

Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis said he would like to see Brown get more rest ahead of the playoffs.

He?s a tough dude, Porzingis said. He always preaches his warrior mind-set and he lives by it, but to what extent do we need that right now? Maybe he needs to take care of it and make sure he?s going to be ready for the most important moments.

So, I think we just have to encourage him to make sure he does everything he needs to prepare, to get it healthy, and to prepare for what is going to come  he added. I think he?s a smart guy, so he will. It just shows his heart, how much he wants to be out there for games that maybe don?t mean super much for us right now but that?s who he is and we appreciate him for that.

I will take him at his word on this.  Based on how he played vs. NYK, it is pretty clear that he does have some things to figure out before he is going to be any help in the playoffs.  I think he needs to play.  How much is 10 days rest going to change things at this point?  Playing might not help either.  There is clearly something very wrong with his knee.

Wow. Jaylen already ruled OUT for tomorrow.

Guess he's not gonna chase the 65-game threshold. Tbh the more I was looking at it, it didn't look like he was gonna get 3rd ALL-NBA anyways even with some other guys missing the threshold, and I don't think he has any incentives to hit in his contract. Though it makes you wonder why they kept playing him in recent games too, he could have benefitted from an extra week's rest.
