The only thing you can say to offer hope with Davison is that he is only 22.  Pritchard was already 23 his rookie season.  Davison will be 23 in October, in time for next season, so the age thing is running out of real estate, but he is still young.  I have not seen it on the court.  I thought at first he had NBA level athleticism but he has not shown NBA level skills or BBIQ so far.  And even the athleticism while being sufficient to play in the NBA, it isn't anything special, not enough to compensate for lack of skills.

It doesn't look like Davison is going to make it, nor is Begarin or Madar.  These are all second round picks.  It would be nice if one of them panned out, but that is probably not the historical probability.  My Google AI says that 20% of second round picks ultimately make it in the NBA.  I wonder if Davision now counts towards that stat, even through in a practical sense, he hasn't really made it.

Subtle shot at JB for chasing the 65 game mark? 🤔

No, just him being a goof, like he is with his absurd celebrations.  He pokes fun at himself all the time, and that is all this was.  Accusing him of throwing shade at JB is disrespectful to both of them.  Kornet tries to keep the team loose by being a goof.

I don't see that at all.

He's joking.  About Tommy Points.  He made a ridiculous commercial campaigning for them.  It's silly and tongue in cheek.

It's not aimed at JB, or D. White, or anybody.  It's comedy.

Yup.  And good comedy at that.  Luke is a funny man, and they're doing an excellent job tapping into that quirkiness lately.

Starting to think we lucked out not being on the side of the bracket with the Pacers, Bucks and Cavaliers. Those 3 might be 3 of the actual Top-4 teams in the East now including Boston. And yes I say even ahead of New York especially if Lillard returns.

Boston's just got to take care of business against Orlando, then DET/NY to get to ECF

Agreed. I got all 3 ahead of NYC.

Beasley and Pritchard I get.  Ty Jerome... is a nice player but I'm not sure he's even a sixth man, if we're being technical about it.  To me the sixth man on the Cavs is De'Andre Hunter.  I think he probably should have been the third candidate instead.

Same here. On both counts.

I don't understand Ty Jerome. I did see he was top 5 in some gambling sites for 6oY. That shocked me. They were on money on their prediction. I still do not get it.

DeAndre Hunter was awesome as a 6th man in Atlanta. He was a huge part of their winning earlier in the season. He hasn't been as spectacular in CLE. More solid. I can understand him dropping out as a main contender for the award as a result but ... Ty Jerome!? I don't get it.

They should make a 7th man of the year award for Ty Jerome. His stats are that good. 23/6/5 and 2 steals per 36 on 64TS%. Three level scorer too - excellent shooter who can slash and get to the line.

Only reason he played so little is how crowded that Cleveland backcourt is.
