Gobert looks like he can hold his own with Gobert on the boards and in the interior.

Yeah, he matches up well.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

And that's the worry with the TWolves - late-game offense. They just don't have consistently reliable offense down the stretch. KAT will help, but the question is whether that will be enough.

If the Sixers win their last 2 games, they'll finish in 6th or possibly 5th place.

Correction:  Apparently if the Sixers, Magic and Pacers all end up tied, the Sixers would still end up 7th because the Magic win the tiebreaker due to being a division winner.
Is this the only reason we have divisions? Not aware of any other.

That and scheduling, so that you get more games against teams geographically close to you, which both reduces travel and often increases the interest in a game (easier for opposing fans to road trip and more likely some opposing fans live in the home city), thus increasing revenue by a small amount.

The 1st playoff matchup is set. Dallas and Los Angeles will play each other. They can still flop positioning but they are the 4 and 5 out west. Right now LA is 4 and Dallas is 5. LA has a 1 game lead and the tiebreak so they will likely stay in 4th.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Wow, that is going to be a great series. Clips should destroy DAL but Luka has given them major problems in the past. I hope he can again. I'd love to see DAL knock out LAC.

I think Dallas wins, I don't think they can defend Kyrie and Dallas has been almost unbeatable with their top starting unit of Kyrie, Luka, Jones, Washington, Gafford.  That starting 5 is 15-1 together.  The loss was a 4 point loss at GS (they also beat GS by 10 and 2 in those games).

They are saying Giannis will be held out for the last few regular season games. Hoping he is back for Game 1 of the playoffs. Not a sure thing.

Health Clippers back in December -January looked dominant, but lately they've been dropping games left and right. If they revert back to their dominating ways of those two months they'll be a tough out.

This series could go to the limit. No doubt it'll be a great one.

If Philly AND Indiana win out, Orlando would drop to 7 while IND goes to 5 and PHI goes to 6. That's partially because PHI and Orlando also play each other tonight, though PHI has the tiebreaker anyways.

That might be the best outcome. I still would pick Miami to beat Orlando in the 7-8 play in game, so MIA faces MIL while Boston lands 1 of Orlando/Chicago/Atlanta. Philly would still be out of our bracket as well being the 6 seed.

Mil, MIA and Phili all being on the same side of the bracket would be nice to see. putting aside rooting interest it would be fun to see an Embiid/Giannis second round.

Meanwhile an Orlando/Chi/Atl first followed by a Clev/Ind second would be about as good as you can hope for. The only downside is those series would all get buried in the least watched time-slot(s).  Plus, Indy has played the C's well this year.

I find it funny that Orlando/Phili/Ind could all be tied at the end of the year and Orlando would win the tie breaker and get the 5th seed even tho both the Pacers and 76ers own the individual season tiebreakers over Orlando. Apparently the 3 way tie breaker is winning your division.

So I noticed the lakers were 2 to 1 to make the playoffs (just get out of the playin). As much as I dislike them I do think they will get out of the playin if Lebron and AD can both play and getting 2:1 seems pretty good. Do people think they will make it?
