Sorry, MIN does not control destiny. Hilariously, NO ONE at the top of the West controls destiny.

If Wolves win and Thunder win and Nuggets win,

1. OKC
2. MIN
3. DEN

If Wolves win and Thunder win and Nuggets lose

Well, looking good on the opportunity to get Philly out of the play-in. They're comfortably ahead of Orlando midway through the fourth, and Cleveland up 7 on Indy. They'll all three be tied after tonight if these results hold.

Though if I heard Zach Lowe right, the Sixers actually lose in that scenario if they all end up tied, so hopefully one of Orlando or Indy loses again.
Yes the 1st tie breaker in a 3+ team tie is division winner.  So the Magic would get 5th seed.  Then the Pacers would get 6th seed due to head-to-head against the Sixers.
That’s ridiculous. I haven’t looked at division standings all year. I honestly don’t know who’s in the Cs division. Why do they try to stick to giving divisions any meaning?

  • GOT IT!!!
Philly have basically proven that if Embiid didn’t get hurt they would have gotten the 2 seed. I guess they are the second best team considering the Bucks are so hot and cold. So who wants them if you think they will be the 7th seed? I bet Doc doesn’t with Giannis hurt and Thibs probably doesn’t care lol

They're technically 6th right now per NBA standings, and it seems like that's their most likely spot right now.

Sunday is going to be a crazy day.

And the Lakers might have caught a break. Nuggets stunning loss could now mean they face MIN or OKC first round. I’d still pick MIN to beat them in a series but OKC will not beat LAL first round. And LAL could still have a decent chance against MIN, it’s not impossible for them at all compared to if it were Denver

Ugh. Hope GSW and whoever else in the playing rounds beat the Lakers. Them facing the Wolves in round 1 gives them more hope than facing the Nuggets. If they draw OKC then LAL takes it.

Silly blunder by the Nuggets. Maybe this year isn't it for them with all the losses they've piled up. The Celtics should have no business losing this season then.

Guess we are just ignoring the lakers were down with a minute left to a starting five of gg Jackson, Scottie pippin jr, Jake laravia, Jordan Goodwin and Trey Jamison? By all means let’s pencil them in for the wcf

Luka Doncic has played 28 career playoff games.

Nearly half (13) of them have been against the Clippers.

Or they got unlucky.  They’re now looking likely to play Phoenix for the 7 seed. Then  Denver in round 1.

Warriors and Kings lost, wow, what a turn of events in just 1 hour! Maybe they can't evade the Nuggets after all

I don't ever recall so many seeding spots undecided going into the last game.  Other than the Celts, Bulls and Hawks, it doesn't look like any other team is locked in.

CLE, IND, NYK, MIA, and PHI all have home games vs. lesser opponents.  They should all be favored and if they try to win, probably will win.  Then there is MIL at ORL.

Is it correct that if all of ORL, IND, and PHI win (and finished tied) that PHI would be the 7th seed?  That is how the standings have them now.  And if MIL loses to ORL, assuming NYK and CLE win, MIL would be tied with CLE for 4/5.  Who would win that tie breaker?

In any case, maybe MIL is trying to drop down into the 4/5 to be in Boston's bracket.  On the other hand, if MIL beats ORL, MIL ends up at #2 and ORL drops likely to #7, meaning BOS would get ORL or MIA in the first round (assuming that PHI and IND win their home games).

You need a doctorate to make light of all of it.

Clippers waive Josh Primo. Sign Kai Jones instead.

Primo had a season ending injury in late March. Hard to see Kai Jones making any type of impact in the playoffs. Probably a signing for next season. A trial signing for next season. See if he is worth keeping or not. Probably not.
