The Detroit Pistons have just lost their 24th consecutive game.

The 2010-11 Cleveland Cavaliers holds single season losing streak record with 26.

The Philadelphia 76ers lost 28 straight games spanning two seasons: 2014–15 and 2015–16, the most consecutive losses in NBA history.

Detroit has tied history with 26 consecutive losses in a single season.

Tuesday, they can make history with a 27th straight loss.

the Vanderbilt move may have worked. Or maybe it was just a vintage Lebron night. They are hard to beat when Lebron plays like Miami Lebron.

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal
Wings -  Lebron James

Is that 3-0 for the Grizzlies since Morant came back?

Biyombo was a great pickup for them. They had a big hole at center with S Adams and B Clarke going down. Biyombo has helped fill that void. They have a pretty nice team except for the SF position.

G: Morant, Smart
G: Bane, (Konchar)
F: (Roddy), (Z Williams)
F: JJJ, (Aldama)
C: Biyombo, Tillman

A strong three man backcourt. A serviceable two man center rotation. Rarely if ever giving them an advantage but limit the bleeding well. JJJ is great at big forward. The SF rotation is a complete mess. The lack of a backup SG isn't important since Smart can cover both guard spots. Aldama is a 3rd stringer but he can give them something. Not much but something.

That looks like a decent middle of the pack team to me. A terrific three man backcourt. A high level big in JJJ. Two serviceable role player bigs.

Edit: I forgot Luke Kennard. He is a fine backup SG/SF.

Podziemski with a 15pts, 10reb, 7ast stat line.

His rebounding is strangely good for a small two guard. He is pulling down 5rpg in only 22mpg. That is good a PF nevermind an undersized SG.

He has an interesting mix of scrappiness & skill.

Ja has been really good. Will be interesting to see how him and Smart look together.

At age 38 LeBron can still put up 30+ and 40+ like it's nothing. He seems to play just as good as he was age 28.

They'll probably play Ja/Smart/Bane together at times, trusting Smart to cover the SF on the defensive end. It's a waste of his defensive strengths (he'd be better covering either their best guard or cheating heavily off their worst guard), but there aren't really enough minutes to go around unless they do
I'm bitter.

I think Smsrt and Morant will play together more than “at times “. They traded two firsts and a couple of useful players for Smart. I doubt they did that to have him come off the bench.

Absolutely, I'm referring to playing both of them with Bane. I think they'll play either Ja/Smart/SF, Ja/Bane/SF, Smart/Bane/SF, or Ja/Smart/Bane at all times (when healthy/not suspended, at least). And given their weak SF rotation that last one might get the most burn
I'm bitter.

man, philly has been playing some bum teams lately looking at their schedule. both they/milwaukee have been padding their stats against the bottom feeders.

will be interesting to see what happens when the SOS switches and they are facing tougher teams while Boston is facing the poor teams.

Would be nice when we get to that part of our schedule if we can just blow teams out early so our starters can rest and the bench can get some run.

Before the start of the season ESPN in their top 100 ranking had Smart at #59, ahead of #60 D.Murray, #61 Bane, #62 Porzingis, #63 S.Barnes and #64 Gobert, while Morant was ranked #35.

So without our own fan subjective look, I just can't see Memphis benching either Morant, Smart or Bane.

Oh I wasn't, I was just replying and saying he's the only one I could think of who didn't last long in the league because of drug issues among other things.

With Williamson and Simmons it's way more of a lack of care/interest thing. It's not just injuries with those two.

Celtics: 22-6
Bucks: 22-7
Sixers: 20-8

Strength of Schedule up to 12/24:

Celtics: 1st
Bucks: 30th
Sixers: 26th

And look at this "gauntlet" Philly just had to play through (Minnesota is an impressive win, but still):
