Pistons should be relegated to the G league.

Worst team in the league with the highest paid coach? Go figure.

If he didn’t have that contract think he would already be fired.

Lakers have not been the same since hanging that IST banner. They've lost 4 in a row, including tonight against Minnesota.

They have to win at some point, just scared they may lose the next game in OKC and come back home with a bounce-back win against Boston

It's getting to the point where I think teams will now focus all their efforts now on Detroit, only because they don't want to be that team that snaps Detroit's long losing streak

Better hope the C's don't lay a complete dud against them next week

Hmmm against a poverty franchise and sub .500 team? I think that fits the checkbox for the C's having a letdown game against them.

Some 4th stringer on the Pistons will decide to drop 45+ on us  :P

It will be a home game for the Celtics so our home win streak will be in play as well as their losing streak.  I am not concerned.  I will say that sometimes, the first home game after a road trip can be tough, but I am not sure DET even wants to win.

It'll be interesting to see what some of these Pistons players look like in two or three years after they inevitably get traded for pennies on the dollar.

I actually think Cade, Ivey, and Hayes could all be useful players separately.  Specifically, I think there's a chance that the Pistons give up on Cunningham, only to see him go elsewhere and blossom into a perennial all-star in a couple of years.  But together, they're a mishmash of players who all want the ball and can't play off of each other.  Add in the glut of centers who can't shoot, and you have an absolute disaster of a roster.  The only efficient offensive player on the roster is Bogdanovic (because he's the only one who can shoot, go figure) and he gives everything back at the other end.  What a mess.

The numbers don't necessarily back it up but feels like Stewart always plays well against the C's.

After the game ends they need to lock Stewart in the locker room so that he can't leave and he stays in Boston  ;)

He'd probably do it himself if someone gave him the key.     ;D

I do not understand Phoenix going small with three guards in their starting unit. Moving Devin Booker to SF alongside two combo guard types.

Why not just play a proper SF alongside Durant? Metu, Papa-Diop, or even Little?

Keep your defensive integrity (proper defensive & rebounding matchups). You have enough scoring with Durant and Booker. The add-on effects of the extra offensive player are low. The defensive add-on effects would create a better net positive for the team.

Dallas played with no Luka and no Kyrie last night. Just looking at that team sheet ... man, I am not sure that team could win 20 games in the league without Luka & Kyrie.

Houston beat them by 26.

Their team last night was:

G: Jalen Hardy, Seth Curry
G: Tim Hardaway Jr, AJ Lawson
F: Derrick Jones Jr, OM Prosper
F: G Williams, D Powell
C: Markieff Morris, R Holmes

No Lively as well as missing Luka & Kyrie. No Kleber either.

Why in the world Markieff Morris has been starting ahead of R Holmes & D Powell is another question that stumps me. His NBA career looked over a few years ago. Yet here is now starting for Dallas recently. And stinking up the joint while doing so.

Long season left to go obviously, but there's a decent chance the Western Conference play-in will feature 4 of Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Golden State. That'd be pretty fun (and chaotic). Dallas and Houston also have some bad blood with some of those teams (Ime-Lebron incident, Luka-Booker, etc.)

Meanwhile, Grant had another miserable game.  0-5 overall, 0-3 from 3.  -28 in 26 minutes.

Not sure if he is nursing an injury or what but he has really dropped off the last 13 games, after a solid first 12 games or so.  It is like night and day.  Close to 50% from 3 through the first 12 games, something like +57, then 27% from 3 and -100 for the last 13.

Did something happen to him?

So I don't have the answer to your questions, but I will say over the past week on Twitter I've seen a handful of posts from Mavs fans getting irked by Grant constantly pump-faking on 3s or hesitating on them even when he's open. I definitely remember that being the case last season too. Idk if it's injury related or if he has some form of the yips with his shooting or mechanics? But he did have an elbow issue in the 2nd half of last season he was sort of nursing and who knows if something else flared up there this season?
