I have gone back and forth on this pick. It is hard for a Celtics fan to make this pick. But I need some size, nasty, grit and hard work. He was and is a pain in the butt.

2× NBA champion (1989, 1990)
4× NBA All-Star (1983–1985, 1987)
NBA rebounding leader (1986)
Top 3 most hated by most Celtics fans

Memphis selects Bill Laimbeer.

I just couldn’t draft him based on principal

Understandable. I need a shower after that pick

Ahh Uncle Cliffy is a great pick here- I toyed with selecting him the last few rounds.

Bynum and Laimbeer in the same round. The vibes are not good, friends. :(

I am going to take the guy that grew up right down the street from me.  Toledo native Jim Jackson.  Real shame he got hurt and the trio of Kidd, Mash, and JJ never got to reach their full potential.

Still deciding if I want to take the explosive pre-injury Jackson or the great shooting vet version he was in Houston later in his career.

How hard he fell off never made sense to me. He was still a good athlete in the late 90s after the injury trouble in the mid-90s.

I was always expecting him to take on a larger scoring role on all those teams he joined. Never did.

It's binkie season here in the 10th and 11th rounds! My favorites from today:

Carlos Boozer -- I think he's really not that far off from the other guys. Quality value!
John Wall -- for when you just need some electricity (not that your time needs it)
Cliff Robinson -- so solid and solidifies across multiple positions
Toni Kukoc -- I'd consider giving him a bigger role similar to what I was saying in the team thread. Another playmaker if you let him play power forward next to Dwight. Maybe he's too thin for that, but even at small forward he'd give a different passing dimension that I think would really benefit your team

Happy with Brandon who was great in the mid-90s and gives a little bit of a change-of-pace attacking point guard which we didn't have off the bench. Something different than the other combo guards. And Pressey who adds to our all-defense sub crew with Lever, Jones, and Ibaka (and adds some more passing / triple-doubles to boot).
2023 Historical Draft: Toronto Raptors

Point Guard: Anfernee Hardaway, Fat Lever, Terrell Brandon
Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe
Center: Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka
