Sorry about that everyone - had something come up unexpectedly.

The Washington Generals select the nearly-forgotten Derrick Coleman!

The talent was certainly there.  His attitude on the other hand....

I always think attitude is a tricky thing, mostly because so much of it - in that era, especially - is filtered through sportswriters, who are hardly reliable narrators. I find with a lot of the guys who played before the players really had the platform they do today that some guys who got an undeservedly bad rap (i.e. the entire Jailblazers squad never really did anything of substance to earn the moniker) and some really deserved the reputation they got.

Qyntel Woods and Ruben Patterson seemed like bad dudes.  The rest were immature and smoked a lot of pot.

Great pick, this was the guy I couldn't believe was still on the board.

Agreed, re the Blazers, Roy.

Also, looks like this will be the round of the unsung four.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

With their final pick, the Sacramento Kings select all time binky and birthday buddy David West

That was the guy I was very close to taking before Vin Baker dropped and was torn between David West and Danny Manning with my next pick. I passed on him a 3rd time with Uncle Cliffy since Cliff could play SF as well as PF and even some C.

I thought David West was the closest thing to Terry Cummings in terms of being a skilled mobile PF with shooting range. Intelligence. Passing ability.

Great pick.

It's the perfect round for it. Get a 4 who has some positional versatility, and who you loved watching play.

Talented enough to have gone a few rounds earlier IMO. Supreme scorer at his peak

Tom Chambers!!!

That is the guy who was rated as a starter on my board. I loved him a stretch four next to some of these big bodied centers like Yao or Artis or paint dwellers like Dwight or Mutombo.

I thought either Chambers or Amare would be the best scoring PF in the league and I was leaning towards Chambers given his proficiency at scoring from the perimeter. More of an asset in today's league.

Was very surprised to see him still available in the last round. Had back-to-back seasons of being a 25+ point scorers while making the conference finals in each season.
