Definite binky pick but I also think he'll fit well in the offense I'm running.

Sacramento Kings select: Michael Finley

Finley was awesome, loved watching those early 2000’s Mavs teams. And technically the run on former Celtics continues… I try not to think about the year he was on Boston.

Love Finley. He could do everything except dribble. Probably deserved a bit more recognition for his play and effort - the amount of minutes he played was often crazy

Truthfully I was hoping to select Bogut with this pick and solidify my frontcourt's defense, but I suppose that plan is out the window.

However, I guess I'll solidify my wing rotation's defense a bit and select a wonderful former Celtic.

Lots of good picks today, and still good talent on the board. Nice work fellas.

Man, Tayshaun and Nance at backup forward.

That is a lot of length on defense.

The idea is also that either is capable of starting to emphasize defense and reduce the offensive clutter if people think there are too many mouths to feed in the starting lineup.

So far everyone on the team is unselfish, but I’m not sure that will hold true until the end.

Will be excited to look at everyone’s roster after tomorrow wraps up and we are nearly across the finish line.

I like what Danny Manning brings to the table.

What he offers reminds me some of Draymond Green in terms of his passing. The way GSW used Green on the short rolls, as an extra ball-handler, cutter ... a connectivity type of player. Manning brings that to the squad. Raises the team IQ when he is on the floor.

6-10 long arms good speed good strength back in his Clippers days. He was playing great in PHX before he got hurt (again). The team was 36 and 10 (W-L) with him (64 win pace) compared to 23 and 13 without him (52 win pace). He was a major weapon in terms of his ability to change games off the bench because of how he could open up PHX's offense. He gave them even more creativity. More passing. More movement. More ball-handling. More outside shooting. More speed on the break.

I can see him playing a similar role to that here.

I am listening to a Bob Dandridge interview. He had a couple of interesting stories.

Hal Greer came to his high school to work out one and Dandridge got to rebound for him. Dandridge was the only guy who knew who Hal Greer was so he raised his hand and got picked. Hal Greer told Dandridge to rebound for him. He'll take 100 shots. Hal Greer made 98 out of 100 shots. That informed Dandridge how good of a shooter he needed to be in order to make it to the NBA.

Dandridge's favourite spot to shoot from is the corner. Sounds like he'd adjust just fine to analytic's favourite shooting spot outside of dunks & layups.

He talked about Kareem playing against Wilt. Says that Kareem used to completely outplay Wilt in the first half. Then something would happen at halftime. Maybe somebody would say something to Wilt. And Wilt would come out second half and shut Kareem down. Talked about how huge Wilt was. Mentioned Wilt once averaging 42pts and 29reb for the season against Bill Russell.

The interview also mentioned how Dandridge was the 2nd leading scorer in the playoffs for Bucks title team with 19ppg ahead of Oscar's 18ppg. Dandridge was also second in rebounds with 10rpg (9.6rpg). Oscar led the team in assists at 8apg.

Dandridge played on four teams that made the Finals. Two in Milwaukee in the early to mid 70s and two in Washington in the late 70s.

One of the few players to raise his numbers in the playoffs vs the regular season. Career 18.5ppg to 20.1ppg in the playoffs. 6.8rpg to 7.7rpg in the playoffs. 3.4apg to 3.7apg in the playoffs. Shot roughly the same percentage at 48% FG%.

What could possibly go wrong?
