With pick 8.8, the ChiBulls reunite the ‘twin semi towers” of the 1991-1992 Cavs, who lost 4-2 in the Conference Finals to MJ.

At his peak, he finished top 11 in MVP voting 3 years in a 5 year period.

Ah, nice pick. Very skilled offensive big man

With this pick, I'm going with the 2x first all-defensive player that was a crucial component of those great 90s Trail Blazers teams. The LA Clippers select...

Buck Williams!!!
Walking double double. Speaking of durable iron-men, Buck was right up there. Incredible rebounder for 6'8"

Interesting Terry Cummings stats. He went head-to-head with Buck in the 1990 WCSF for the Spurs. The David Robinson rookie year team. The team that took Portland to 7 games and came within inches of winning the series and possibly making the Finals. Probably would have been favoured over KJ's Suns in the WCF.

Terry Cummings was the leading scorer over D-Rob for the series with 25.9ppg on 52% FG% against Buck Williams -- one of the finest and toughest man-to-man defensive PFs in the league. Maybe the finest defensive PF. Battled Buck neutral on the boards to with 8.7rpg for Terry to 9.0rpg for Buck.

Cummings not only out-scored D-Rob but was also more efficient in his scoring than D-Rob to lead the Spurs in that 7 game series.

That is the guy who I could not understand why he was still on the board. I had overlooked him not once but twice when making my draft board. When I realized I had missed him, I was so happy because suddenly there was enough quality starting centers available.

Guy should be a starting center. He is a stud.

Not only is he not starting but he slipped to the 8th round. Incredible value to get for your backup center.

I think you've convinced me that Terry Cummings is the greatest PF of all time ;D

Yeah, Daugherty was somebody I ranked highly.  He's a very nice pickup at this stage.  The one great pick out of the cursed 1986 draft.

Nuggets get lucky. They select Vin Baker to fill their vacant PF slot.

Another one of those 90s power forwards. Love Vin Baker, and with his size and ability to play centre I think he has a bit more value than some others

After JO and McDyess got picked yesterday right after my pick, I did not think V Baker would last until my next one. I was looking at other people more than him as a result. Most of those guys were smaller PFs. Happy to get a bigger PF in Baker to battle some of the big physical PFs in this league.

Huge rebounding difference as well. As a team they went from a +2 rebounding differential per game to +6 with Buck.

They started destroying teams in terms of extra possessions. They were fantastic at forcing turnovers as well. +2 on the turnovers. You are going to win a lot of games with 8 extra possessions more than your opponent.

And they were devastating in transition as well. So they made those turnovers and extra rebounds count.
