Heard Gary Payton II failed his physical. Does that void the entire associated deal?

It could, but more likely Portland will get fewer picks or be cut out of the trade, with Golden State getting whatever Atlanta was sending.

Pistons got Wiseman and Hawks got Bey in the trades. I think this means some of those picks ATL surrendered may be re-directed to GSW and/or DET. POR may be the team that gets cut from the trade and it becomes a 3-team between ATL-GSW-DET

ESPN is reporting that either the deal goes through as is, or it’s scrapped for all four teams.

The Warriors have until Saturday to go through with the deal or rescind the entire trade. No amendments to the deal can be made due to the passing of the trade deadline.

Call me crazy but I think GSW will still go through with the deal. Wiseman wasn't doing anything for them anyways this season but at this point bringing him back might just make things worse both for them, and also the other 2 teams who'd probably be ticked off (ATL, DET)

Interesting.  Trade deadline hazards.  Wiseman wasn’t doing anything for them and they still save $7 million in luxury tax, so I think it still goes through, but this will be a tough call for them.

If it’s true that Portland was giving GP some painkillers in order to continue playing and didn’t disclose it, I’d cancel the deal if I were the Warriors. That’s just bad faith by Portland. Who knows, maybe they can get a better package for Wiseman in the off season.

Probably be sanctions for the Blazers. Bad-faith dealing AND injecting painkillers for a player to keep playing for their team. GSW, ATL, and DET should strip them of their picks and such lol

In addition to the immediate consequences of the deal, I don't know how any free agents consider Portland from this point forward.  Wouldn't trust that organization to have my back if I was a player.

I’m a small bit skeptical.  He’s got a guaranteed contract.  The team can’t force him to play if he’s not healthy, and they certainly can’t inject him with toradol without his consent.

Toradol injections aren’t new.  This article is a decade old:

Perhaps.  Wonder if any other players will weigh in confirming/refuting the report.

I have no clue what happened, but a team medical staff telling a player he’s less hurt than he actually is wouldn’t exactly be a new thing in professional sports.

As I understand the deal, GSW got 3 or 5 seconds from ATL.  You could just cut Portland out of the deal and leave GSW with the 3 or 5 seconds from ATL (I have seen reports of anywhere from 2 to 5 seconds from ATL to GSW).

So all they got for Wiseman was 3 or 5 second round picks.  Not great value.

The reporting is that the deal is all or nothing; it can’t be amended.
