Probably be sanctions for the Blazers. Bad-faith dealing AND injecting painkillers for a player to keep playing for their team. GSW, ATL, and DET should strip them of their picks and such lol

In addition to the immediate consequences of the deal, I don't know how any free agents consider Portland from this point forward.  Wouldn't trust that organization to have my back if I was a player.

I’m a small bit skeptical.  He’s got a guaranteed contract.  The team can’t force him to play if he’s not healthy, and they certainly can’t inject him with toradol without his consent.

Toradol injections aren’t new.  This article is a decade old:

https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/1637798-nba-playoffs-2013-the-drugs-that-keep-injured-players-on-the-court.amp.html

I have no clue what happened, but a team medical staff telling a player he’s less hurt than he actually is wouldn’t exactly be a new thing in professional sports.

As I understand the deal, GSW got 3 or 5 seconds from ATL.  You could just cut Portland out of the deal and leave GSW with the 3 or 5 seconds from ATL (I have seen reports of anywhere from 2 to 5 seconds from ATL to GSW).

So all they got for Wiseman was 3 or 5 second round picks.  Not great value.

The reporting is that the deal is all or nothing; it can’t be amended.

I’ve seen reporting from the Athletic that the Blazers and Warriors would be able to alter the compensation from the deal, and reporting from ESPN that says it’s all or nothing.  I guess we’ll know in a few hours.

Russell Westbrook gotta decide between Chicago or Miami per Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report...surprise, thought he go to Clippers

I've felt all along it would be Miami. He just feels like a Heat tyoe of player.

Maybe because I dislike him lol

I actually think he’d be a good fit in Miami. I hope he ends up with the Bulls.

Does Brad swoop in right away or wait for other potential buy outs? With so many teams getting stronger after the trade deadline, these bought out players may be hot commodities. Dallas for one is said to be interested in Ross.

I think the biggest issue is these bought out players are playing for a new contract and will go where the minutes are.  Teams like Phoenix, dallas etc who traded away depth are top contenders and will have minutes.

If I'm Warriors I get Ross and nix the Wiseman deal. Assuming they can still handle the tax.

I think C's or Bucks are the best teams to join due to locker rooms.

T-Ross would be nice a alternative to Ntilinka (defensive guard) and R Bullock (3&D no offensive creation). Interesting mix of perimeter skills.

Then they have Maxi Kleber and Bertans as stretch 4s and JaVale McGee as a defensive center.

Not a great bench but a better bench than given credit for.

Edit: Ah, I forgot Josh Green. He has been their best bench player this season. Yeah, I am not seeing where T-Ross fits in in Dallas. He should not play there. Unless R Bullock continues to struggle with his three point shot.

Or maybe they will slide Bullock up to backup PF and play T-Ross at backup SF thus giving them more defensive quickness at PF than Bertans or Kleber are capable of providing.

Edit 2: I changed my mind. I don't think T-Ross would be a good signing for Dallas. Too worried about him taking time away from Josh Green or Reggie Bullock. They need those guys playing in order to help balance out the offensive orientated starting trio of Kyrie, Hardaway and Doncic. They don't really need T-Ross with Hardaway there. Similar type of player.

Good insurance, sure, but I am worried Kidd will play T-Ross ahead of those defensive minded glue guys.

Looks like for the C's it'll be either Barton or Danny Green (if HOU actually buys him out). Not sure what other options there are really

Good.  I didn’t want Ross, and that means Barton is less likely to sign with the Suns.

Terrence Ross officially signing with the Phoenix Suns

I wonder where he will fit in.

G: Chris Paul, Cam Payne
G: Devin Booker, Damion Lee, L Shamet
F: Torrey Craig, Okogie
F: Durant, TJ Warren, Saric
C: Ayton, Biyombo

Damion Lee has done a really good job for PHO. Not as much of a microwave scorer as T-Ross but more efficient and dependable. Okogie gives them good defense.

Strength in variety ... I guess.

Although I do wonder where T-Ross' shots will come from with Durant and Booker taking vast majority. Then Ayton has to eat. Then CP3. TJ Warren likes to jack them up to.

FYI: Saric was traded for Darius Bazely
