Terrence Ross officially signing with the Phoenix Suns

I wonder where he will fit in.

G: Chris Paul, Cam Payne
G: Devin Booker, Damion Lee, L Shamet
F: Torrey Craig, Okogie
F: Durant, TJ Warren, Saric
C: Ayton, Biyombo

Damion Lee has done a really good job for PHO. Not as much of a microwave scorer as T-Ross but more efficient and dependable. Okogie gives them good defense.

Strength in variety ... I guess.

Although I do wonder where T-Ross' shots will come from with Durant and Booker taking vast majority. Then Ayton has to eat. Then CP3. TJ Warren likes to jack them up to.

FYI: Saric was traded for Darius Bazely

Ah yes. I forgot. I don't understand that trade either. Saric could backup the center position as well and give them an offensive option at backup center vs the defense-only Biyombo should the situation call for it. It was handy versatility.

Bazley has never even played good basketball in his entire career. Head scratcher.

After completing a contract buyout with the Charlotte Hornets, veteran guard Reggie Jackson intends to sign a free agent deal with the Denver Nuggets, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday.

As Danny Green finalizes a buyout with the Houston Rockets, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics have emerged as frontrunners to sign him as a free agent, sources tell ESPN. Lakers and Suns are involved too.

I’d be happy with Green if he has anything left in the tank. Between his vet professionalism and championship experience, he’d be a great deeper bench 3 and D wing for us.

Shams Charania: The San Antonio Spurs are releasing forward Stanley Johnson, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium . Johnson had a strong stint for the Spurs this season, shooting 45 percent from 3-point range, and will now look to join a postseason contender. – via Twitter ShamsCharania

He would be a good fit as a backup forward. He can play multiple positions and his shooting has improved.

I’d rather have Stanley Johnson over Danny Green. Will Barton would be solid as well. Green is injury prone and much older. I think he’s toast.

The buyout market is so much more robust this season compared to last year.  There are legitimately good (if flawed) players available.

Danny Green would be a great voice in the locker room.  Barton or Johnson would be better minutes eater.  All are better than Justin Jackson.

I’m expecting to come up short on the buyout market as we do every year.  Convincing someone to move to Boston in February isn’t easy.

Why not? It’s going to be a balmy 60 degrees on Thursday.  Plus, they are on the road half the time anyway. I’d be surprised if the C’s didn’t add one of S.Johnson, Will Barton or Danny Green.

If a player wants to get in the championship train that will be coming from Boston this year, then this season is the time to jump on aboard.  Allllll abroad!!!

Cleveland isn't the Bahama's...Phoenix just signed Ross, so that would leave LA as the only warn in February City on the list

Not to mention the Celtics had a history of striking out when they weren't championship contenders.

What's more important to a veteran buyout candidate than the opportunity to chase a ring, and what team has a higher chance of getting back to the finals this year than Boston?
