My soon to be Old Takes Exposed futures bet of the Chargers winning the AFC.

I like their team, division they are in is just incredibly tough.

Oh yeah, toughest division in football.

I said this quite a while ago, but yeah appears I was dead wrong on this one. Can’t win em all

Are the Chargers the 76ers of the NFL?

The team the experts all overhype in the offseason causing fans to buy into them.

Strange that the Jets are having their best season in a LONG time and they still have dysfunction going on. Moore asking out for a trade is kinda wild.

It is really?  They are terribly run and have been for a long time.  Sometimes you can win with terribly run franchises.  I mean the Marlins have 2 World Series in the last 25 years or so, and they are awful, but winning isn't going to cure dysfunction, only mask it.

I just feel bad for my two best friends. They are both self hating die hard Jets fans, and they have been cautiously optimistic. Then a player they have both loved since he was drafted, but is for some reason under used this year, asks out.

Niners are giving up 4 picks, 3 they own from the Rams in 2023 (2nd, 3rd, 4th) and a 5th rounder in 2024

I can’t believe they couldn’t get a first. He is on a very team friendly deal this year.
He is a running back after all and they don't usually moved the needle regarding who is and isn't a true Super Bowl contender. Having top notch running backs are great for fantasy football teams, but generally, not necessary for a real contending NFL team.
He also plays like only half the eligible games in his career and since he has played all 6 this year, he is due for his annual injury.

I think this is more of the reason for him not commanding a first to go along with later round picks. If healthy, he’s probably the best RB in football, but he hasn’t been able to say on the field very much over the last 3 years. He’s still only 26, so if he can stay healthy and get close to his 2019 form where he had nearly 1400yds rushing and over 1000yds receiving he would absolutely move the needle for SF.

I thought the "toughest division" in NFL is the NFC East this year lolol

6-0 Eagles, 5-1 Giants, 4-2 Cowboys? Dang!

The AFC West...Denver looks so watered down and McCrapfest is on a losing roll. Chargers are so inconsistent.

Yeah, the AFC West doesn't impress me. Broncos and Raiders basically stink, and the Chargers are a middling team. The NFC East has (surprisingly) been much better.

Edit:

P.S.: Josh McDaniels is continuing to prove that he's not head-coaching material.

Might sound like a ridiculous thing to say given that they won the SB last year, but man it's amazing how almost irrelevant the Los Angeles Rams feel lol. Like we all know about them having to use "silent counts" at home and not having much of a fanbase, but at the same time does anyone really care about them? Definitely not in Los Angeles. The LA Chargers definitely have a better, more faithful showing and don't have to resort to silent counts at home either. Idk, the Rams just feel like a fake franchise and I wish they either stayed in STL or went elsewhere (not LA).

Rams offered a 2nd, 3rd, and 5th for McCaffrey but because the Niners had the Rams 4th rounder, they could get the deal done.  Pretty funny

In LA, it's mostly Raider nation here. But the Chargers are more faithful than Rams. That why it's such a waste that the Rams won the Superbowl last season, and hope to put them out of their misery this season.

The Super Bowl itself felt so "extra" too. Dwayne Johnson what that "hype" intro, all the celebrities there with some LA celebrities pretending to be Rams fans when they're obviously not, like ugh.

Burrow and the Bengals look like they've found their stride again. I think they are the favorites to win the AFC North now. Ravens have also looked shaky lately

Sad to see Bady go out this way...TB offense hasn't been stellar these days. Even trailing the Panthers right now

I only saw 2nd half. TB - both Brady and Bucs - looked pretty bad.  I’m not sad about it at all.  Losing to Carolina ain’t good especially after trading McCaffrey.  Bucs now 3-4.

Yup, hate to say it as a Brady fan but their season is pretty much over. Unless a miracle happens where they win like 10 straight to be 13-4, hard to see them start beating teams in dominating fashion.

Next 6 in their schedule are against Ravens at home, Rams at home, Seahawks in London, at Browns, home against the Saints, and at 49ers. None of them are gimme games but wouldn't matter if they couldn't beat scrubs like the Steelers and Panthers. The pace they're playing look like they might go 1-5 or 2-4.
