Tom Brady posts on IG story that he's officially divorced with his wife Gisele. Sad :(

That’s a tough one. Most wives would want a more present father around. There are many men that think that their role is to provide money and that’s it. My father was around for my upbringing and I’m grateful for this.

Most wives also aren’t married to the GOAT.

Maybe Brady shouldn’t have come back? He doesn’t look very good on the field.

Then there’s the idea that he was sick of her trying to control him. I’m sure there are many other husbands here that feel that way. The only difference is I can’t attract 10 models with the snap of my fingers.

Lol, Giselle is worth more than Brady, and could get any guy she wanted.

Brady should have just retired and stayed with his wife and family.

This season has 2019 Patriots vibes all over it for Brady. He's not as committed to the organization, going through the motions and the team is also not as talented as a few years ago. They'll make the playoffs and maybe even win the division because it's garbage but I see an early exit for them

Yeah, I appreciate the competitive fire, but it's not a choice I would have made.  I don't think that the Bucs have a realistic chance to win, and all it takes is one bad hit to ruin Brady's quality of life going forward.  To risk his family and his personal safety when he's already had the best career in NFL history is hard for me to grasp.

If Brady is officially divorced now, then I wonder if he "retired" just to try and save the marriage. When that didn't work he came out of "retirement". What better way to keep your mind off the divorce than doing the job he loves. A divorce takes a long time to go through, especially when that kind of money is involved.
Sounds like they've already agreed to the terms of the divorce so it shouldn't take too long to go through.  Since they were both wealthy going into the marriage, I expect they kept their financials separate to a large degree.

Most likely pre-nup agreements were in place making it easy

I think TB has good talent. I don’t know why they stink. I like TB’s roster more than Miami.

I think SF makes sense. Does this hurt or help his legacy? Feels like a Lebron to LA move.

WOW. Panthers down 34-28 to Falcons and PJ Walker hits Moore with a beauty for a 60+ yard TD with about 12 seconds to go. However Moore was penalized for his celebration (and taking off helmet) and it made the XP attempt further back, which they missed. So tied 34-34 heading to OT now

Yeah, I was watching that.  My opponent has D.J. Moore in a key fantasy matchup, and that killed me.

How do the Falcons deep men let up on that play, and let Moore get by them?  Isn't the entire goal of the defense not to let anybody get deeper then them in that formation?

This is why I hate celebrations like that. Undisciplined...just play and finish the game, stop showboating! Because of that, Panthers lost the game.

Brady grew up in the Bay Area, so finishing his career there would be less mercenary than other potential destinations.

Just watched the recap of that game to see how it unfolded. And wow, Eddy Pineiro channeling his inner Billy Cundiff, Blair Walsh, Cody Parkey etc. Yeah, Moore's penalty was simply unacceptable, but wow, as a NFL kicker you should normally make 40-49 yarders automatically, nevermind 33 yards which is the extra-point range. Missed 48-yarder game-winner in regulation and missed 33-yard game-winner in OT.

Seahawks are surprisingly good the first eight weeks. Blowout the Giants and hanging onto the division lead. Guess Pete Carroll made the right call in moving away Russell Wilson lol

Yeah the Seahawks definitely aren't "flukey". And I don't know what happened over the offseason, but Geno Smith suddenly looks like an elite-caliber QB. Smart decision-making, can run with the ball, throw lasers around the field. I think they can really threaten for the NFC West title, they are currently first in the division as is

During the Giants-Seahawks game they occasionally cut to Rams-Niners highlights and man, that's embarrassing for the Rams that nearly 70% of the stadium is in Niners-red and there seems to be more "roaring" when the Niners score as opposed to the Rams.

The LA Rams really are a fake franchise with barely any real fans

That's LA for you man. LA is more of a Raiders town than Rams/Chargers. Even then, I think the Chargers are at least more respectable than the Rams.

It was essentially home-field advantage for the 49ers today

Washington at 4-4 is just being cruel to its fans.  team has put the top pick out of range and we all know the seasonal collapse is coming
