If Baltimore can find themselves a WR today, I think they move back into the Buffalo/KC tier, as is, I think they are just a hair behind them.  I'm still worried about them closing out games, but at 5-3 with a very easy schedule remaining, and being up at least 10 points in those 3 loses (including 20-3 on the Bills), I think they are sitting in a pretty good spot.  I'd be outright stunned if the Ravens don't win the north at this point and frankly the 4 division leaders all look like nearly sure things barring major injury.  The 5-7 spots in the AFC playoffs definitely have a lot of teams in the mix right now.  A lot of season left, but a fair amount of parity in the middle of the AFC (and only 3 teams I'd write off completely at this point Houston, Pittsburgh, and Las Vegas - though they all could ruin someone's season, they aren't going to ruin enough seasons to be in the playoff picture).

Not being quite as solid as KC and Buffalo doesn't mean Baltimore won't get a Super Bowl berth this year.  It wouldn't be a shocker if they did, but from what I've seen so far they don't seem to be on the same tier.  Adding players could happen for all 3 of these teams so that would need to be considered if Baltimore bolsters their roster.

Nah- Buff and KC are better. KC has a better offense and Buff has a better offense and defense.

I think Baltimore gets into the playoffs as the AFC north champ. I have little confidence that this team can win in the playoffs. They need a better defense and coaching.
A QB that doesn't choke in playoff games might help as well.

No question it is put up or shut up time for Lamar in the playoffs.  He has not been good in his 4 games.  The 101 yard INT returned for a TD against Buffalo in their last playoff game was especially egregious.  Just a terrible decision and throw.  Had they gotten the TD on that drive, they tie that game up instead of immediately falling down by 14 (Lamar was hurt on their next possession).  That was just bad and is basically the last time anyone saw him in the playoffs.  He needs to play better.

Harbaugh doesn't do them any favors at times either.

Has there ever been an NFL QB that had such a stark difference in his performances between the regular season and playoffs? 1-3 record. 68 passer rating. 3 TDs to 5 INTs. For a former NFL MVP? That's ridiculously bad.

He is definitely aggressive, sometimes too aggressive, though I do ultimately prefer a more aggressive approach, then a more conservative approach.  He should scale it back some, even in the last game, I thought going for it on 4th and 2 in the 1st half was a mistake.  They should have kicked the FG then, but they at least stick to their identity on that stuff.  When there is a question, they go for it.

Peyton Manning's 1st 3 playoff seasons he was 0-3 with 1 TD and 2 INT's.  His best game he was 17 of 32 for 194 yards with a TD and a 82 passer rating.  In that 3rd playoff appearance (which was his 5th year), he was 14 of 31 for 137 yards and 2 INT's and a passer rating of 31.3.

So yeah, it isn't unprecedented for a guy to struggle in the playoffs to start his career.  Lamar's in year 5 this year though and it will be his 4th playoff season, so he has to be better this year.

WOW. Rare in-division trade as TJ Hockenson gets traded to the Vikings.

Also Bears are trading for Chase Claypool. That's a good get, gives Fields and the Bears offense another weapon

I hope it's the #2 the Bears got from Baltimore, rather than their own pick.

Bears are trading their 2nd rounder, not the Ravens one, to the Steelers.  That is a pretty solid return for the Steelers.

Steelers are apparently acquiring CB Will Jackson from the Commanders.  Compensation not reported yet.

Broncos needed to do that.  They're gonna be digging out from under this Wilson disaster for awhile.

As a Broncos fan, I now get to root against San Francisco, since we get their draft pick from Miami in this deal.  Which is good, since I had nothing else to root for this season.  Hopefully they go on a losing streak.
