Umbrella Academy season 4 a major disappointment

I sort of assumed that last season was the last season the way it ended. So you?re saying they should have left well enough alone?
Yessss
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,

I finally finished the last two seasons of "Boardwalk Empire" on HBO. While the quality did somewhat fall off towards the end, I don't think it's as bad as many say. It's funny, I remember this series being a big deal while it was airing, especially in the early seasons, but it just kind of came and went and I feel no one really talks about it anymore.

Overall, I think it's a really fun series with outstanding writing and character development. I'd highly recommend it, but I don't think it cracks my Top 5...

1. LOST
2. Breaking Bad
3. Better Call Saul
4. The Sopranos
5. Six Feet Under
6. Dexter
7. Boardwalk Empire
8. Ozark (great first three seasons but holy crap season 4 was a flaming dumpster fire)

"Deadwood" and "The Wire" are still on my list, trying to decide which to watch next.

I think The Wire is the best series I?ve ever seen.

What makes you like Lost so much?  I remember watching the first few episodes and thinking it had potential, but for whatever reason never kept up with it.  It seemed like it got hokey.  I was thinking of giving it a shot though.

I'm just about done with my four year nerd out binge of Star Trek brands.

The Wise great through and through.  Deadwood is a lot of fun, but you need to go in knowing that it never got finished.

LOST, to me, is the greatest genre-blending triumph in the history of media. Its a drama, comedy, mystery, sci-fi, romance, thriller show all rolled in one. I think all the criticisms of it are valid - the abandoned story lines, the questions that never get answers, too many filler episodes, ect. - But even despite its faults, it still remains the most fun i've ever had watching a series.

I like all of the series that you listed that I've seen.  I haven't watched Lost or Six Feet Under.

Six Feet Under was great and very groundbreaking for an early 'pay channel" series.  It was ahead of the curve in expanding what a TV series could be beyond the constraints of network TV.

And the final scene of the last episode gives me goosebumps just thinking back to it.  Really amazing ending.

I totally agree. Unfortunately everyone in my life who I have recommended it to either never gave it a chance or never made it past the first couple of episodes. Personally, it's one of those series i'll rewatch at least every five years, until i myself am six feet under lol.

What was weird about the show for me was that my living situation changed after the first few seasons and I had a long gap where I had no HBO.  By the time I went back and watched the whole series (including the few seasons I'd missed) my life was at a very different stage then when I started (married, with kids of my own).  It was kind of cool to see that show with two different perspectives.

Same with Sopranos actually.

Never Six Feet Under so that?s an idea for tonight.  Also never saw Boardwalk Empire.

Of the top 10 referenced - I like all (except Dexter which I gave a good try but it didn?t pull me in).  I liked The Wire and Deadwood but I wouldn?t put either in my top ten. Ozark?s a maybe. I think I?d put GOT in there - and definitely Arrested Development.  Rectify would  probably make my top ten. be up there for me. House of Cards probably an honorable mention as would Friday Night Lights and Seinfeld.  A sleeper that was way prematurely cancelled was I?ll Fly Away, brilliantly done, would love to see if it holds up but can?t find it anywhere.

Go further back there was nothing better than Hill Street Blues but I?m sure it?s dated and surpassed.  St. Elsewhere too.

I started watching 6 Feet Under again. Think I saw the first 2 seasons years ago, but never finished it.

I can?t get enough of Freaks and Geeks. I?m a sucker for coming of age stories, and this captures the experience with great subtlety and no Hollywood flash. Both a blessing and a curse that it only got one season.

Has anybody watched Mr. Robot?  It stars Rami Malik, and was apparently on the USA network starting in 2015. The reviews are outstanding, which was a little surprising for a show I had never heard about.

I am through one season, and I'm finding it very interesting. It's streaming on Prime currently.

Really good - unfortunately short-lived.  But maybe that?s the best - never hit the dead end that many long-running series? do.

Mr. Robot is an excellent show. Incredibly innovative way of storytelling that gets the audience involved in a show like no other show has done. After season 3 though I thought it started getting to complicated and trippy and never finished it but the first couple seasons were great.

Watched the premiere of The Penguin last night. So good. HBO does it again!

The trailer for the new Australian version of The Office dropped. Ill have some mercy and not post it here - dont want to subject you nice people to that.

Boy oh boy I didnt think any spin-off series could possibly desecrate its original source material worse than That 90s Show but it looks like I was dead wrong.
