Landman.  It's pretty mixed for me, mostly because I'm convinced that Tyler Sheridan doesn't know how to write female characters.
I didn't even make it through the 1st episode of Landman.  Not a fan of Billy Bob Thornton.  The premise of the show is pretty boring so they'd have to really, really unrealistically spice it up to make it interesting.

Besides Yellowstone, are any of the Sheridan shows particularly good?  I do think he writes Beth well. However she mostly presents a more masculine personality but does show her feminine side mostly with Rip.  It is obviously a limited female archetype, but Kelly Reilly performs it well.  I did think the Elsa narration in 1883 first season was good and sounded like a teenage girl's reflections in a diary.

Been watching Senna on Netflix. Lots of Brazilian references but also a compelling story on one of the greatest Formula 1 driver in the world. Kind of like Drive to Survive, but set in the late 80s/early 90s. I?m really enjoying it.

I liked 1883 and 1923...the fact they were both period dramas was appealing to me, as was the fact that 1883 was just one season so they told a tight story. And I loved Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren in 1923. Waiting for the 2nd season now.

I'm watching the 2nd year of Silo on Apple+. Really enjoying the show and can't wait for the next episode.

I loved Silo S1, because I love watching Rebecca Ferguson...I'm going to binge it on my upcoming trip to Japan.

Ford and Mirren were good but I didn't like any of the story lines in 1923.  And 1883 had Sam Elliot who is always enjoyable.

Silo S1 was really good.  Enjoyed it more than Fallout S1 which I was really looking forward to but ended up a bit disappointed.

Started watching the new Stars Wars show "Skeleton Crew".  I think it has some promise.  Definitely draws inspiration from the Spielberg movies of the 80s.  It's supposed to take place post Empire. Roughly the same time as the Mandalorian. I wonder how much crossover we'll see with other movies/shows.

Yeah, through two episodes, it's great.  It's got that whimsical sense of adventure that movies and shows often don't anymore.

That said, I'm completely ready for the gut punch where it all falls to pieces because the show runners injected 21st century American politics into it.  I'm hoping not, because this is totally a show that I'd like to introduce my kids to, but I'm a skeptic.

New season of Cobra Kai...It's so awful, but I can't help myself.

Also on Netflix, Kevin Can F Himself...I still can't decide what to think of it.  It mixes a sitcom and with a dark story (literally switching looks and going from laugh tracks to life like look and feel).  I want it to be better than it is, but it has grown on me.

The Franchise on HBO was worth several laughs per episode.
Yup

Black Doves.  It's got some high points, and some silly points, leaving the plot and the tone a bit uneven.

But, as much as I suspend disbelief, does anybody else ever get taken out of a story because a 110 pound woman is beating up a 6'2", 220 pound trained expert in combat?  The thought of Keira Knightley pushing any large, trained man around cracks me up.

I just saw that Severance is returning on January 17.  I'm pumped.

Out of all of the streaming networks, I think Apple TV produces the best original programming.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Bad Sisters S2 in Apple - really enjoy
Silo- really like it. Jessica Ferguson I think is great. It?s a slow burn but I dig those.
Arcane - animated show on Netflix. Really like it.
Creature Commandos- Max . Wouldn?t recommend. Very lazt oversexualized humor from James Gunn. I don?t get his appeal AT ALL. Plus the dude just gives me the creeps.

Watched the first episode of "Dexter: Original Sin." I highly recommend it to anyone who was a fan of the OG series. So glad they're exploring more of Harry Morgans character; Although an important character in Dexter, he was a bit unexplored, only appearing in brief flashbacks throughout the series.

I re-watched The Wire. Think I enjoyed it even more the second time around. Definitely one of the top 5 shows ever made.
