I don't think forgiveness is necessary...though some may prefer that mental approach.

It's more that I don't want to focus on him.  I want to focus on winning.

I don't think booing hurts him at all...if anything, it just galvanizes the Nets to play harder.

Anything we can do to help Cryrie feel more comfortable, we should do!  ;D

I hope we boo him louder than ever before and next time he decides to wipe crap off his shoes on our logo, I hope someone throws a dirty diaper at him.

I tend to agree. As much as I despise Kyrie, the negativity will only feed his narcissistic hero complex, and might distract our team. We are the better club and shouldn't let the narrative get derailed by that fool.

Like Ime says, this is our story.

If he showed genuine remorse and actually apologized for all of his antics, I'd probably let things rest. However, Kyrie is a textbook narcissist, so actually admitting fault is tantamount to falling on the sword to him. It's never gonna happen.

Pretty much this.

He’s literally never publicly admitted any wrongdoing on his part whatsoever, and he continues to do controversial things to stir up the relationship, like stomping on the logo just last year. Yet, it’s the C’s fans who should move on and forgive him? Forget about it!

A part of me wonders if that's his intention

The logo stomping thing...Various comments
Feels like he just fans the flames no matter what.
He's fueled by the drama, or maybe likes to try to use petty drama to get under the opponents skin

It’s wild that someone can be this unknowingly blind. Or maybe he’s just an ultimate troll. Either way, he’s definitely villain material. It’s just so easy to root against this guy.

AND he wants them to play his highlights:

Quote
I just hope we can move past kind of my Boston era, and just reflect on some of the highlights I left at TD Garden that they can replay. And just move forward.

Why don’t we just retire his # too?

If Cryrie thinks a lot of people are still genuinely upset about him leaving, moping around and carrying hate in their heart, I think he's flattering himself like he usually does. I can't speak for everyone but personally I moved on from him long, long ago. We're cheering for our team, who has the name "BOSTON" on the front of their jersey. I don't think of Cryrie or what could have been or anything like that. I moved on, he didn't want to be here, I want people who want to be here.

BUT...when he comes to visit as an opposition player I will boo the hell out of him. If I could throw rotten grapes at him I would too. Because it's fun.  :police:

Kyrie stomped on the logo!
No excuse for that.

I hope our boys remember the disrespect!

Go ask forgiveness somewhere else.  As far as I am concerned; he is Celtics enemy  #1  >:(
Unfortunately his ex-teammates (Smart especially along with the Jays) don't feel the same. No one will knock him on his arse. I hope Grant will and I hope Ime will encourage some hard fouls on Kyrie. This could turn really physical if the Net gets bruised a little.
I just wish Time Lord was alive to play in this series. He'll be missed with his defense and rebounding and smashing lobs.

Kyrie played 136 games as a Celtic, and his crowning achievement was a first round victory over the Pacers in 2019. That doesn't warrant a tribute video playing for any franchise, let alone the Celtics. What planet does this nut ball live on??

It is well documented.

I do think the results of the logo stomping would have been different had it happened this year. The way Tatum and the others rolled over after Kyrie's provocations was one of the biggest disgraces I've ever seen in sports. But imo Ime would not tolerate that.

Ime is a guy who understands the psychology of intimidation. He's not the sort to encourage impulsive responses (as that doesn't really benefit us),  but he knows not to show weakness. This is an area where Brad really struggled to lead. It's one thing drawing up plays. It's another showing young men how to act under enormous adversity in the public eye.

Lol maybe they should put up some highlights of Kyrie's "leadership" three years ago in the Milwaukee series.

We had a stacked team that year and he wasn't up to the task.
