Lowe and Marks were roasting Kyrie on Lowe's podcast today. Total lack of self awareness, selfishness, etc.

Next season for the Nets is going to be fascinating. KD is looking frustrated with the whole thing. If they get Joe Harris back healthy and Ben Simmons is playing and they still struggle next season, it could get truly ugly.

Well kyrie said he is going to help manage the team because he is a cornerstone. Will work closely with owner and gm.

First they were all coaches, now they're all executives.

Might be an idea for him to, y'know, focus on just playing well?

They won't struggle next season. They will be one of the top teams in the league.

They just need to get healthy.

With Kyrie I would be wary about such statements. His ability to cause what should be good teams to implode can never be underrated.

Not sure this is the correct thread but I didn't see any mention of Kyrie's quote yesterday.

Quote
"I don't really plan on going anywhere.... when I say I'm here with Kev [Durant] I think that it really entails us managing this franchise together alongside Joe [Tsai] and Sean [Marks]... we're cornerstones here but we have Ben, we have a few other guys..."

Even Lebron with all the clout he has wouldn't say anything like this.  The Nets ownership and management have really screwed the pooch to let those two knuckleheads have so much influence.

I'll just be glad when Lebron and his ilk are gone.  Giannis, Embiid, Jokic, etc are much more likeable stars and you don't hear anything about them interfering on coaching and management decisions.

This was brought up in another thread, but you're right - it deserves more attention.

It is bordering on delusional. Bordering might be being kind too. He needs to focus on a) playing, b) playing well, and c) not disrupting his locker-room and undermining all the staff.

I don't think a nor c are really possible for him.

It says a lot about KD to tie himself to this flake.  I don't recall Kyrie being such a flake when he was playing 2nd fiddle to Lebron.  I know he forced the trade because he didn't want to be #2 to Lebron but that is somewhat understandable.

Scary how you never really know someone, for all you know your best friend could be Kyrie deep down inside

Is there a possibility that BKN trades him in the offseason assuming there is a taker?

We didn’t get the result we wanted, but I wanted to congratulate my brothers in that Celtics locker room. They earned the series Win and I wish them well as they advance. Nothing but love competing against them.

Thought this was interesting.

As much as the fans (of pretty much every team at this point) hate him, it seems like he's still well-liked across the league, including in Boston.

So he hates boston (the fans) but he like the guys on the Celtics?  I guess that is possible, but it seems a bit...umm  bs?

The first reply I saw was a comment calling him "Allen Ivermectin".

My sides are in absolute pieces

He keeps trying to drive the wedge between the Boston team and the fans. This is typical melodrama relational conflict from a manipulative person. I understand that he is a likeable guy in ways. I think he talks from his heart and is very genuine with his fellow players, which is a genuineness that I'm sure is somewhat rare to find in the NBA at times.

But my read on him is that he is a very emotionally intelligent person individually and is able to endear people to himself, but that at the same time has manipulative behavior to convince people of narratives or of doing what he wants them to do.
