“He's walking great and he’s just got a little sleeve on his leg and he's moving great. It's amazing, 2 days post surgery.” Brad Stevens on @Toucherandrich on Robert Williams and his rehab plan.

That's crazy. I remember when leg injuries were the beginning of the end for NBA players but now they have surgery and play fine for many years.

If you've had meniscus surgery you know this is possible. The main pain is now resolved, but the inflammation and soreness from the surgery needs to go down.
Yep. This was exactly my experience. My son’s little league opening day was the day after my surgery and I was walking with him around the field with no pain. I did go through rehab and there was pain extending the knee for a couple of months I think but a) I’m
No NBA player and b) I didn’t have access to round the clock treatment either.

Funny story. I was living in LA at the time and had my surgery done at Kerlan-Jobe, who also handled the Dodgers orthopedic surgery. On my post op follow-up, I noticed a whiteboard with their schedule. Grienke, and then me. Quite the letdown after Grienke.  ;)

So sounds like this is the opposite of a death sentence, and a fairly common injury to boot
It’s amazing how common it is once you hit 40-something. Once I had it done, half the fathers from the little league commented on how they had had it done as well. That said, there is probably some long term concern for a high flier like Time Lord as the surgery never really repairs the meniscus. Just cleans up what’s left.

I happy (and a little stunned) that I have some actual insider info. I just erased my first draft and I'm realizing it's tough to tell without outing my source. So less detail. My cousin lives in Austin. Has pictures with a bunch of celebs and athletes which legitimizes her knowledge. She text me and said "your a Celtics fan, right?" So you know Robert Williams?

Evidently, a trainer from Texas A&M got Joe Rogan and Robert Williams connected. Rogan got him in with the same guy he sent Henry Ceudo and some other famous friends to for stem cell injections. Evidently it's supposed to cut standard recovery time in half. He's scheduled to to start Tuesday in Texas. Maybe that's why everyone's saying they think it will be on the short end of the recovery estimate! Our new team doctor Joe Rogan 😂

I’m a big Joe Rogan fan of his podcast shows.    I’m for anything , including alien tech , if it gets Timelord back on the court.  ;D

Not a fan of Rogan but very much a fan of getting Rob back quick -- assuming it's legal.  So a big positive check in the Rogan column if true.

It worked for Kobe.

Wonder if KD got something like that ,  he seems every bit as good as before , no drop off I can detect.

If there's one thing we know about Joe Rogan, it's that he'll happily promote and speak on something whether he understands it one bit or not. Luckily, that's doesn't mean it's false OR true, so we can hope for the best.

Theis has been beyond putrid defensively. Kornet deserves some minutes depending on the matchup. Theis has been scary bad

Note that players don't necessarily need to play in NBA games to be assessed.

Pretty sure Kornet would've seen time if he'd be better than Theis.

Seems like the Celtics are doing just fine when he’s on the court to me.

Starters with Theis instead of Rob are up to a 37.5 net rating in 46 minutes.  Obvious small sample size issues, but at the same time, that's a spectacular number, and even half of that would be enough to win most games.

Same. Some folks just do not like Theis. He’s a solid insurance policy on Timelord.

We're fine with Theis starting, we were putrid with GWill starting and Theis coming off the bench.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.
