I have to admit I have no idea where I am going with this but I am selecting another all-offense player in Michael Porter Jr.

Gawd, I feel bad for poor old Gobert trying to cover all these guys.
Another guy who I had a hard time placing. His scoring is super efficient, and he could easily be have a breakout season next year.
Gotta admit, I had him as a late 6th early 7th pick.

Tough grader.  With that level of efficiency, I think this is the right round.
Maybe. But every time I have seen him play, he just hasn't impressed me, especially defensively. Maybe it's recency bias watching him versus Phoenix, where he was genuinely terrible. I just know he wasn't going to be drafted by me unless he was still there in the 6th or 7th.

I won't deny his defense is questionable at best, but he's an elite shooter regardless of what position he plays.

The defense is bad, but in these drafts folks tend to value great offense over good offense plus good (or great) defense.

Case in point:

Kevin Durant (2016-17)
Steve Nash (2006-07)
Pau Gasol (2009-10)
Marc Gasol (2012-13)
Rasheed Wallace (2002-03)
Danny Granger (2008-09)
Allan Houston (1999-2000)
John Stockton (1999-2000)
Nene Hilario (2010-11)
Richard Jefferson (2005-06)
Goran Dragic (2013-14)
Jason Richardson (2007-08)
Jaren Jackson Jr. (2019-20)
Latrell Sprewell (1999-2000)

VS

Giannis Antetokounmpo (2019-20)
Karl Malone (1999-00)
Alonzo Mourning (1999-00)
Mano Ginobili  (2007-08)
Derrick Rose  (2010-11)

I am confused, what teams are these?

From last year's Historical Draft? Because I had Giannis in that draft and that's not my team.

With the 8th pick of the 5th round, the Minnesota Timberwolves select…

Yep.  Nash and Houston started if I'm remembering correctly.  The defense on that team was downright bad (compared to historic rosters), but they won because the offense was so impressive.

It's a strategy that I see several teams emulating in this draft, and it's a successful one, I think.

I am not a fan of the all offense teams, it's probably why I don't win these things.

I voted for Who's team that year because I liked the depth much more, especially in the bigs. The Gasols and Rasheed were the deciding factor for me there....two way players.

I like this move. Better fit next to Harden for my mind, and LaMelo can provide weird looks off the bench that challenge the opposition

Dang, wanted him as my 6th round pick. Nice grab, though your team seems rather PG heavy after 5 picks.
