We got Josh Richardson for about $10M, for 1 year.  That changes the equation for Fournier considerably.

Also, if the Celts don't re-sign him that might be because they're cheap ... or it might be that they're not interested in tying up cap space.  They haven't extended Smart or Rob Williams yet, either.

The Celts were never going to get him on a one year deal, though.  Why trade for him?  And why attempt to re-sign him if you're not willing to go 3 years, $54 million?  (I do agree that that's not a firm number at this point)
Thing is, we changed our GM. Brad wasn't in charge at the time. It's possible that Danny and Brad have different opinions on Fournier/cap flexibility/you name it.

Yes, and if Brad expects Tatum and Brown to wait around while he brings in lesser players on cheap deals, he hadn’t been paying attention.

I am an idiot. I thought it was open since last night and I have been shocked all day how few signings there have been.

If you're an idiot I don't want to know what that makes me.

I love the beginning of free agency and the trade deadline.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

so do the Bulls have to do some shakeups to make this work cap wise?

Its a sign and trade, so depends on what's going out.

I like Lonzo on that team. They have a bunch of offensive focused scoring focused players in LaVine, Markkanen and Vucevic.

A guy like Lonzo who makes his contributions in non-scoring and team offense is a great fit for that group.

Yep, would've loved that fit.

Got a feeling I'm going to be super frustrated by the end of tonight...

The Chicago Bulls are sending Tomas Satoransky, Garrett Temple and a second-round pick to New Orleans for Lonzo Ball, who's signing a four-year, $85M contract, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.
