Kyrie must really hate the Celtics for him to go out of his way and do that. Now I’m totally convinced that he quit on that game vs the Bucks. That was no poor shooting night.

It wasn't that Pritchard looking kid that threw the bottle btw.

I don’t know if it was him, but he got escorted out.

My bad - I saw an angle where it looked like someone in a dark jersey but that's because he was holding a sweater in front of it.

Ignore me, I was le wrongski ♥

Kyrie and KD are easily the most hatable players right now. It’s amazing. And I thought I was sick of Lebron but if LBJ wasn’t wearing a Lakers uniform, I’d be rooting for him to take these guys down.

Not much difference , but yeah LBJ on the court and a faker. Its getting to the point where these guys need to realize fans pay their salaries. The popcorn thing is way overblown , water bottle  is worse an or someone dumping a beer or drink and spitting. Funny that he thinks the guy is racist and he is wearing a Garnett jersey. it is possible for people to hate players from other teams that are jerks whatever their skin color.

Just saw the footage of Kyrie using Lucky as a doormat.

Wouldn't have been bothered if that water bottle lasered him

It is so annoying that the inside nba crew found nothing wrong with what he did.

Sounds a little ominous. I am done with league pass. I  bit the bullet this yr because even living in Indiana I was stuck with Bulls games vs Pacers besides Celtics games which is BS. Not paying any extra for any of it. I'd never buy a jersey, people can quit going to games. The divide between pro athletes any more is growing but NBA is far worse than MLB or NFL in my view. An avg person can at least relate a bit to a few players there vs NBA.

That's because they can't relate to it personally. That crew have a complete lack of empathy because their egos are too enormous

There is a disconnect..the whole TV contract and partnerships with the NBA creates a disconnect as if that TV money exists in a vacuum. I do not think they understand that the money still comes from the consumer. Kyrie’s actions towards the Celtics deserve a call from the NBA office. The NBA is a business it should not tolerate one of its star players lying to a fan base, and the rubbing their faces in it. The billions these players are making are coming from somewhere. Do these teams have fan clubs? Time for fans to organize honestly.

There are so many issues to discuss. $20.00 beer...$15.00 hot dogs. $10.00 for water. $40.00 for parking. Yet the fans get no respect.

NBA is in trouble and Bird and Magic aren't walking through the door again. It is getting close to the level of pro wrestling anymore. From another view and not big on rule overhauls in other sports but NBA may be time. Court size, the three point shot , just from a style of play that is becoming unwatchable. Remember when college outlawed the dunk? Robert Parish era. Too much replay, too many rules on fouls. Some good fights were good and let players police themselves on some of that.

Just read the ESPN article about this incident and Irving's post-game comments.

The ESPN article made zero mention of Irving's gesture at center court.

Irving's petty bitterness does not forward their true agenda. ESPN has joined the liberal rag Sports Illustrated in their efforts to inject politics into sports. Of course, no one in the media will point out the dishonesty of Irving's pronounced regret over his time in Boston or how he supposedly felt that he had let the Celtics down. No big surprise that tonite he revealed that those comments were self-serving lies.

Throwing a bottle at Kyrie doesn’t make him racist. Nor does wearing a KG shirt make him a non-racist.  That’s racism being trivialized. What is likely is you have a childish action of a player snubbing the image of a mascot (unnecessary but really - is it all that provocative?   Or is it just silly?).   And you have a more dangerous childish act of throwing an object at the player.  No excuse for it.  Grown up people don’t chuck water bottles at people.  It was right for him to be escorted out.  No hero.
