This fan is a stupid as......., maybe acting in drunk reaction...

But man, in this story Irving is more than dumb... He shows an egotic personnality, unable to recognise what he was doing, puting always him in a defensive position. Puting garbage on a team that was belienving in him, paying him millions and that he leaved. But worst being able to use a real violence against his community to build a smokescrean to protect himself and create problems.

He isn't a man acting like that, even a coward one, he is just a coward ireesponsablee and egotic child. Go at the corner baby Kryrie.

Just read the ESPN article about this incident and Irving's post-game comments.

The ESPN article made zero mention of Irving's gesture at center court.

Irving's petty bitterness does not forward their true agenda. ESPN has joined the liberal rag Sports Illustrated in their efforts to inject politics into sports. Of course, no one in the media will point out the dishonesty of Irving's pronounced regret over his time in Boston or how he supposedly felt that he had let the Celtics down. No big surprise that tonite he revealed that those comments were self-serving lies.

Hanlon's razor, m8. I'd rather think it's either stupidity or just deciding to report on the side of "most drama" to keep them viewers entertained.

I still can't get over this guy.

"I hope they won't be racist"
*purposely disrespects his host*

Yeah m8. That's not how respect works.

Simply make any fan that throws something at a player a criminal offense and no leniency. It was a stupid act that could have injured someone. Completely classless and makes Kyrie look right. That 21 year old just ruined his life for the unforeseeable future.

Now, what Kyrie did wiping his feet on the logo was completely classless as well. Maybe next time he can just drop his drawers and squat. This was disgusting on a whole other level. He is now officially my most hated ex Celtics player ever. The thought that he wore our uniform sickens me.

No excuse for throwing stuff on the court. Period.

Also, Kyrie has a unique talent for irritating people, and either has no idea or has no interest in trying to calm things down.

Irving compared what is happening in sports now what players went through decades ago. He explained that “subtle racism” refers to fan comments about “moms, or what you look like or calling you out on your name” and doesn’t want to take away passion from fans.

“Anything could’ve happened with that water bottle being thrown at me,” Irving said. “But my brothers were surrounding me and I had people in the crowd. Just trying to get home to my wife and my kids.”

It is not known if the arrested fan was intoxicated.

“That’s just what sports is: You mix drunk people out in the crowd that are cheering for the team,” Irving said. “You have some fans that are there to watch the quality of the game. Now we don’t know who is who.”

Obviously the fan shouldn’t have thrown the water bottle, even after Kyrie wiped his shoes on the Celtics logo like he was trying to get dog sh*t off of them.... but the “Anything could have happened with that water bottle being thrown at me”? Come, on...

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Kyrie and KD are easily the most hatable players right now. It’s amazing. And I thought I was sick of Lebron but if LBJ wasn’t wearing a Lakers uniform, I’d be rooting for him to take these guys down.

Not much difference , but yeah LBJ on the court and a faker. Its getting to the point where these guys need to realize fans pay their salaries. The popcorn thing is way overblown , water bottle  is worse an or someone dumping a beer or drink and spitting. Funny that he thinks the guy is racist and he is wearing a Garnett jersey. it is possible for people to hate players from other teams that are jerks whatever their skin color.

Fans will not be respected until we organize.
Or stop buying tickets.

Whats more racist, white guy throws water bottle at black player from enemy team or black player stomps and wipes his shoe on an irish icon?

Of course neither is an actual racist act but looked at thru the lens by the current skewed definition that....

Classless to stomp on the logo and classless to throw the bottle. Two morons.
I wish someone did this to Kyrie.

Give me a TP if you agree.

Garnett had a say in Kyrie stomping the logo, and quite frankly, he's right. Nobody did a thing to stop/retaliate/responded to him-- not cool.

This team is soft starting with the coach down to the last/15th player on the team.  ::)

I'm going to be real curious about what is said ahead of Tuesday's game by the players and management. Durant also said they won't be coming back to Boston - which is probably true but it certainly amounts to rubbing it in.

One thing that is for certain - regardless of what happens Tuesday  - is that this team is soft as a grape.  It lacks a leader like KG who has the ability to hold others accountable.  None of them want to offend - save for maybe Ainge.

Also for those on this board who weren't around back when Red was running the team - he'd have been the first one to clap back at Kyrie regardless of whether the team was going out next game or not.  And he'd have called Irving out for what he is - totally classless.

Kyrie just keeps spitting on the city of Boston but it's ok because he's a millionaire victim! Respect is a two-way street.  I have zero respect for Kyrie. Just another rich entitled Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. from Brooklyn.
