The bottle was thrown as a response to Irving stepping on the Celtics' logo and probably because he is such a dishonest, self-important horse's ass - it wasn't thrown because Irving is black. And yes Roy, I also wish it had hit him. Of course, Irving doesn't care about the truth. He cares about promoting his delusional agendas. Seems I remember ML Carr getting beer poured on him by Laker fans in 1984. He never mentioned race or made a big deal out of it. He was having too good of a time tormenting Magic and the Lakers.
Rather ironic that all the fake, phony, fraudulent double-talk from Irving since he bailed on the Celtics has been about his regret that things didn't go better and he let his teammates down and he respects the franchise, on and on. But in one moment after he wins an important playoff game in the Garden, he shows his true feelings by rubbing his foot on the Leprechaun. What a petulant, disingenuous, low-character jerk this guy really is. Of course, the media will make it all about the "racism" of Celtic fans and will barely mention what Irving did.
