Kyrie in his post game brought up the specter of racism at the TD Garden.

Quote
And then Kyrie Irving lit a match and dropped an R-bomb on Boston in his postgame Zoomer.

The ever-combustible Irving will be back in Boston Friday and inflamed his visit after Game 2 when he said, “Hopefully we can just keep it strictly basketball, no belligerence or subtle racism and people yelling [expletive] from the crowd. Even if it is, it’s part of the nature of the game.’'

Irving doubled down on the Boston-as-racist theme, saying, “I’m not the only one that can attest to this. The whole world knows it.”

Dannys biggest miscalculation was trading for this guy

That 8th pick could have been SGA

He talks big with Bron, KD, or The Beard to back him up. Where was he last year? Kyrie was the 4th best player on his team tonight and maybe Blake even outplayed him so he has to have his little tantrum.

Does not bode well for the future of this team one bit.

Google the phrase “Most racist city,” and Boston pops up more than any other place, time and time again.

Or to put it differently; I've gotten eyerolls for saying I was a Boston fan before.

True or not, that's the image the city has.

Does not bode well for the future of this team one bit.

Yeah, hadn't considered this part until just now but, fair call.

What does not bode well for which team?

The state of modern day agriculture in Spanish colonies.

.edit: pardon the joke - we're talking about Boston's image. Doesn't help in attracting free agents. Which is already an issue due to climate/culture.

How can Danny Ainge keep his job for ever putting a green jersey on this guy?

How can Danny Ainge keep his job after the way he mismanaged this guys signing and not getting rid of him.

There must be a price for this debacle. He has cost Boston serious ridicule.

Y’all still feel good about the sage burning?

Are the players going to line-up to kiss him after he lights them up again?

I just googled that phrase and ... Boston did not come up in my results. I did find this USA Today story, which named Milwaukee the worst and walked through the metrics they based it on.

Boston isn’t pure; no city is. Kyrie is just stirring the pot, to nobody’s surprise.

And he has...this will be the lead on all sports talk radio and TV the next couple of days. The NBA needs to mandate elimination of bias training to all their employees. You cannot have a player infusing race into the game. This is what he did.
