Annoying that we missed on Gordon but Fournier is a good piece for this team. You actually have to respect him from deep, so it should take the load off Tatum/Brown.

They just got a starting caliber player for essentially nothing. It doesn't push us into championship contention, but it's another good player.

The TPE was never going to get us a superstar. This is fine.

I hoped that it would get us a player who would be around for a few years, not a guy who may be gone in a few months.

Assuming they are done for the day. If they are not willing to trade Smart or TT, I’d expect more of the same from this team. I like Fournier though. Hoping they pay him and hang on to him in the offseason.

The reaction is pretty much what expected from Celticsblog. Whine when they make a move, whine when they don't make a move. Personally this is a fantastic get and should bolster their weak bench, Fournier is a reliable scorer who is clutch in his own right.

I honestly think we could've done better. No, not a star but not this. Feels like Ainge settled and this is a consolation prize. I'm extremely disappointed.

Depends on position and whether or not the player thinks they can carve out a spot the will get them paid the next year.

A lot of whining on this board.  Ainge made a great trade and there is still 2 hours left in the deadline and nothing but bit*hing here.  Fournier is a fantastic get and replaces so much of what Hayward gave to the team.  And he gave up nothing.  I hope they Kemba, Fournier, Brown, Tatum, Theis with Smart as the main 6.  I hope the Cs pick up a bench scorer and they look so much better.  Fournier is a great fit for this team short and long term if he can be resigned.  Only 28.  2 yrs younger then Hayward.
