The 76ers remain interested in acquiring Raptors guard Kyle Lowry, and rookie guard Tyrese Maxey is among the assets available as part of a trade package, league sources told HoopsHype. Maxey has shown flashes of potential, including a 39-point game in January against the Nuggets.

This would make sense for both teams I think.

Miami, the other frontrunner to acquire Lowry, had a starting offer of Goran Dragic, Kelly Olynyk, and Kendrick Nunn, as HoopsHype reported. Since then, Duncan Robinson, a restricted free agent who is considered the top shooter available this offseason, has emerged as a potential candidate to be included in the Lowry trade. – via Michael Scotto @ HoopsHype

to me it makes more sense for Philly than the Heat.  I know they had a great run last year, but I don't see them as contenders, especially if they gut their bench.

I would like Denver to get in on that Lowry action.

I'd love to see them play a two guard backcourt with Lowry - Murray. Give them two ball-handling creators to go alongside the high post playmaking of Nikola Jokic. Make them an unguardable monster.

Lowry has shown himself able to defend SGs. Murray has the size to do likewise as well.

Breaking: Celtics will be cutting bait with Tremont Waters to sign Lucky The Leprechaun on a two way deal. Lucky is seen as a long term prospect with huge upside and rare legal ability to use trampolines. Ainge is hoping the combination of Leprechaun and Fall will rival Cavs ‘SexLand’ and form a formidable ‘Lucky Tacko’.

Raptors would prefer Tyler Herro over Duncan Robinson

Michael Grange: The sticking point in a Lowry-to-Miami scenario is Tyler Herro. Miami is ok to give up 26yo Robinson, a pending RFA who might be pricy to sign; Raptors prefer 21yo Herro who is on 2nd year of rookie deal. – via Twitter michaelgrange

Ira Winderman: First two Heat players out for shooting tonight: Kelly Olynyk, then Duncan Robinson. – via Twitter IraHeatBeat

Anyone would prefer Herro over Robinson in every way.

If I were Danny I would nudge Raptors  for Olynyk and Robinson

And send them Nesmith, Edwards,  Thompson,  2nd

I would dig having KO and Robinson in a Celtics uniform

I know there were rumors on George Hill. If DA moves Smart for Gordon, Collins, Vuce or Capella maybe he becomes a 6th man option.

Exciting times. This site will really explode if we get the “we were close but...” treatment from Danny in a few hours. I would love a trade for AG to happen, but eversince the David West drama years ago, I’ve really learned to temper my expectations.

Dragic, KO, Nunn, and Robinson is a pretty good haul for Lowry assuming the Raptors could retain those guys.

I might do that for Kemba just to get a clean slate and way more depth.

If Danny could get that for Kemba, I'd do it.  pushes our not-ready-for-primetime players back to the end of the bench.  cut Edwards and Green if they don't go out in the deal

Saw this idea on B/R from Zach Buckley.  It's a three way between the C's, Pacers, and Raptors.

Not sure I'm a fan, Lowry is four years older than Kemba although I believe it would allow us movement without using the TPE.  Lowry is a UFA at the end of the year, which might assist in getting Beal too.  IDK, I don't see it comin to fruition, but it was an interesting read.

I don’t think he could get Miami to do that, however.  They’ve got max cap room next summer, and getting Kemba would erase most of that.

I have played around with Kemba to Philly for the same reason they are interested in Lowry.  I read that Lowry is insisting the team he is traded to give him a 2@$25M extension as part of the deal.  I can barely keep up with all the Celtics cap implications so I don't know where Philly stands.  Someone said that Miami would not trade for Kemba because they are trying to reserve cap space for the off season.  If this is true about Lowry and the extension, they would lose that space in either case.  Can Philly realistically provide this extension?

Pretty fair trade IMO.  Would definitely make us more competitive short term.  Kyle Lowry and Smart back court pretty awesome. Getting rid of Kemba contract the real selling point.  Giving Langford to Pacers would seem to take the sting out of taking on Kemba contract.

Miami would still have more cap space with a Lowry extension at $25 million than they would with Kemba at $36 million.  Max would be gone, yes, but they would have cap room rather than MLE room.  And I don't think Lowry gets his $25 million a year.
