Why isn’t Pritchard getting some run here?

What’s the point of playing guys that won’t play?
To me it indicates that he'll be part of the rotation proper

Bottom line is the Celtics have tied their future to Jayson Tatum if they really want that to pay off they need to place phone calls to Giannis and Lebron for a referral to their 'trainers' i fyou know what I mean.

Normally these questions are ridiculous, but could a lineup of G. Williams / Semi / Green / Edwards / Waters beat a good college team right now?

I’m not sure that they could, and that to me means that they’re pretty dispensable.

I mean, the Carsen Edwards that looks like a bricklayer with the Celtics averaged 24 a game for Purdue.  And a similar point can be made for the others.

I acknowledge that I'm taking your question too literally, and I agree that I don't necessarily care to have those guys on the roster, with the exception of Grant Williams who I do like.  But the gulf between college and NBA is insane.

and the adjustment from being 'the man' at Purdue to being a role player (at best) in the NBA is probably hard to next to impossible for some of these players.  some guys just aren't good off the bench no matter what.  It appears that is the case for Edwards.  He has some talent, but it just isn't working out, at least other than in practice.

Grant can help you but those other 4 don't belong in the league.  I'm not sure why they're on the roster given what you could sign for the veteran minimum - even now. But we were saying the same thing last season.

With Kemba and Thompson back from injuries, our depth is still pretty iffy, when they are both out, it is horrible.

Agreed.  I would cut all of Green, Semi and Edwards, and would bring in guys that can aid the team.  Ilyasova, Korver and Shaquille Harrison?  It would be better than what we have.

Not a bad idea.

I've been at this point for a while now.  It was obvious even from last season that Edwards was not an NBA player.  His inability to defend was noticeable very early on.

Nesmith missing that dunk is the most encouraging thing I've seen all night. He showed some explosiveness that people didn't think he actually had.

Midget ball has gone out of control. 2 guys under 6 foot and one guy at 6'2". Then a 6'6" PF and a 6'8" C

Some guys just need time on the court to get into a rhythm, like when he hit those 7 3s in the 3rd qtr vs cleveland and scored 30+ pts preseason last year. He had all game to get himself into a rhythm. He’s not a Kyle Korver or Seth Curry who can just come off the bench cold and hit 3s. I’m not sure if Nesmith can either but we will find out.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Nesmith competes hard. It doesn't always work out, but his effort is there.
