Why isn’t Pritchard getting some run here? What’s the point of playing guys that won’t play?
Quote from: Roy H. on December 18, 2020, 10:01:02 PMNormally these questions are ridiculous, but could a lineup of G. Williams / Semi / Green / Edwards / Waters beat a good college team right now?I’m not sure that they could, and that to me means that they’re pretty dispensable.I mean, the Carsen Edwards that looks like a bricklayer with the Celtics averaged 24 a game for Purdue. And a similar point can be made for the others.I acknowledge that I'm taking your question too literally, and I agree that I don't necessarily care to have those guys on the roster, with the exception of Grant Williams who I do like. But the gulf between college and NBA is insane.

I would cut all of Green, Semi and Edwards, and would bring in guys that can aid the team. Ilyasova, Korver and Shaquille Harrison? It would be better than what we have.

Midget ball has gone out of control. 2 guys under 6 foot and one guy at 6'2". Then a 6'6" PF and a 6'8" C

But the gulf between college and NBA is insane.and the adjustment from being 'the man' at Purdue to being a role player (at best) in the NBA is probably hard to next to impossible for some of these players. some guys just aren't good off the bench no matter what. It appears that is the case for Edwards. He has some talent, but it just isn't working out, at least other than in practice.
