So - given the injuries, our underwhelming play and coaching thus far, and our rough schedule to start the season, are we in the playoff picture when Kemba rejoins the team? We very well may not be if they continue this kind of effort and play.

If we make the playoffs.  2nd round exit is them ceiling

Normally these questions are ridiculous, but could a lineup of G. Williams / Semi / Green / Edwards / Waters beat a good college team right now?

I’m not sure that they could, and that to me means that they’re pretty dispensable.

they'd have trouble against a team with a good backcourt and a legit big man.  to be fair, a college big man would get outmuscled by both GWill and Semi but their height would present a genuine deficiency even against a college team.

of that bunch, I'd only keep GWill though he seems to have regressed since last season

I mean, the Carsen Edwards that looks like a bricklayer with the Celtics averaged 24 a game for Purdue.  And a similar point can be made for the others.

I acknowledge that I'm taking your question too literally, and I agree that I don't necessarily care to have those guys on the roster, with the exception of Grant Williams who I do like.  But the gulf between college and NBA is insane.

With Kemba and Thompson back from injuries, our depth is still pretty iffy, when they are both out, it is horrible.

Agreed.  I would cut all of Green, Semi and Edwards, and would bring in guys that can aid the team.  Ilyasova, Korver and Shaquille Harrison?  It would be better than what we have.

I don't think anyone would disagree with that move even if we couldn't get those 3 particular replacements
