Nesmith is gonna get wasted here and shine somewhere else if we don’t get a coach that knows how to use his roster efficiently.  Tired of this same ole

Now for the steady dose of Carsen Edwards and Waters to run through the second half.... this team does not have what it takes to compete for a championship. I will no tbe surprised if Tatum starts agitating for a trade in a couple of years if things do not change.

Was this your opinion coming into the game. Or is it substantially revised after watching 24 minutes of essentially meaningless pre-season basketball?

I keep an open mind before the game. I like to see the Cs win every game. I am quick to express my disappointment when I see bad habits that plague the team year after year. Why would they even allow Kyrie to burn Sage on their court?  That is disrespectful.

It's common in Native American culture. Just because you're unfamiliar with it, doesn't mean it's disrespectful.

What is disrespectful is how the Nets are making us look like a G-league team tonight.
It is common to come into someone else's house to burn sage?

It's not a house. It's an arena.

The burning of sage on someone else's court is an affront because sage is burnt for spiritual reasons sometimes to drive out evil spirits. Is Kyrie trying to cleanse the TD Garden of evil spirits?

It's more reflective of spiritual growth and healing. Driving out evil spirits is a product of Americanized horror movies.

you are so wrong about this it is not even worth debating. What exactly is he 'healing' in TD Garden? And what does the 'healing consist of?

You're right. How dare I? Let me go get my pitchfork and torch. Let's all just hate Kyrie forever and always.
Sounds good to me

Who?

The only thing I'd say about the preseason games is that the Javonte-as-a-starter experiment doesn't give me the warm fuzzies.  He doesn't have a role on the court.  He's not a defender.  He's not a shooter.  He's not a ball-handler, either primary or secondary.  He slashes a little bit, but not well enough to take touches away from Brown or Tatum or even Smart.  I don't see what he adds to the starting lineup.

I honestly think I'd prefer Ojeleye as a stopgap option in the starting lineup.  He's an average defender and three-point shooter (37% last year), and while he's a disaster if he tries to do anything else, he at least has a job when he gets on the court.  And I don't say this as a fan of Ojeleye.

My hope is that they’re giving him a legit chance to show what he’s got before cutting him.  I think he’ll inevitably be waived, with a better player brought in.

Yeah.  It's worth noting that in a normal year, this would be the part of the preseason when camp invitees are getting run just to see if they have anything.  Instead, we're in a situation where we only have two games before the ones that matter.

It is what it is.

First half of that third quarter was great! Then we transformed into the Red Claws
Why you gotta insult the Red Claws like that?!?!

This team is going to be in a lot of trouble this year.  they're going to need both Tatum and Brown to have good shooting nights just to keep them in games at least until Kemba gets back.

don't know about anyone else, but as good as Theis played last year for us, I'm really getting tired of his inability to finish in the paint

Agreed.  I’m kind of waiting for Kyrie The Artist to cut his ear off, Van Gogh style.  That would show real commitment to the craft.

  • Let's Go Celtics!

He did the same thing before the game on Tuesday, but tonight it's a juicier story because he's in Boston. He could go do the same thing in Cleveland and no one would care. Some of his beef with the media is valid.

And btw, its TikTok. If you're gonna try to quote the youth, don't go all Boomer on it.

Eh, don’t really care if I get labeled because I don’t have a working knowledge of garbage.  An entire generation of Kardashian wannabes.

At least you didn't call it tic-tac like my dad does sometimes. TP.

Pritchard just knocked out of bounds but no call yet again. The Nets clearly the better team but this refs are making me puke.

Things got ugly real fast with the 2nd unit.  Given how little time there is to prepare for the season I'd prefer Brad played lineups that he actually intends to use when it matters.  Hence why starting Green makes absolutely no sense.

RJ its not hate I wrote the other day that it is not cool to ridicule Kyrie, but the burning of sage in that environment is wrong. Please educate yourself on the issues and you will agree that it should not be allowed in that environment. Players may have allergies, or respiratory conditions that is aggravated by the burning of sage. The sage also has effect on the neurological system that may affect quality of physical performance. This is not about hating Kyrie. I do not hate Kyrie.

I hate the way Doris states the most frivolous, unrelated, unnecessary snippets of information like it some profound insight, drives me crazy.

Then I get all confused wondering if, because I think she is terrible in the booth, I am misogynist, legitimately is terrible and/or whether these two things are not mutually exclusive.

Just a sad display. I'm not sure Tatum and Brown are ready to be the head of our offense.

I am not sure if I should watch this 4th quarter or not.

one bright spot, 4 assists for Jaylen Brown.  Hard pressed to find anything else.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
So I don't really care what good player we trade for, but we need to trade for a good player.
