His out time has gone from 4 weeks to 4-6 weeks. If 6 weeks, he wouldn't be ready until the finals.  Assuming we get that far, of course.

I think 4 weeks in Monday Sept 14, right?

I hadn’t seen that before. Just wondering where you got this information from?

Any chance Gordon makes it back for the ECF? They said he was shooting and running but they didn't have him zigzagging yet.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Well if the ECF start on Tuesday, he could be potentially playing in game 1, accordong to Rebecca Harlow's tidbit during the game : "Rebecca Harlow on TNT is reporting that a person within the Celtics organization told her Gordon Hayward is expected to be back "sooner rather than later."

I would be shocked if he's back game 1, hasn't done anything on court in a team setting yet and two days ago they were talking about how he was walking on grass to strengthen his ankle.

Tuesday would be 4 weeks + 1 day into a 4-6 week injury for Gordon Hayward. Assuming every other day game 7 would be 5 weeks + 6 days into the timetable. So its gonna be interesting when he comes back, my guess is game 4 (exactly 5 weeks), but it wouldn't shock me if it ended up being later than that.

We really need Hayward back in the ECF. Miami's got a lot of decent shooters.

Heat's also got valuable film on how to neutralize Kemba- maybe they might try the box-and-1 on him too?

Either way, going to be interesting getting some revenge.

Brad just said he'd be back this series, but he didn't know when.

If we assume every other day as usual, then Game 1 Tuesday, 2 Thursday, 3 Saturday, etc.

Could we see Hayward return by Game 4 maybe? That's more than a week away (almost 10 days)

That would be exactly 5 weeks, so it feels realistic. But who knows? Also gotta see whats up with the baby situation, if he's still leaving and the baby is due later this month he could be coming back right when he has  to leave for the birth.

Either way we've managed without him, I think its possible to beat the Heat even if he doesn't play a single game in the series. But obviously he would help a lot.

Celts match-up well with Miami.  If the brass feels confident we can win in 6 or 7 without Hayward, it may be wise to let him rest.  We'll be fighting an uphill battle in the Finals and will definitely need him.

Brad did just say he thinks he'll be back at some point in the ECF's. Not exactly narrowing it down.

Miami doesn't have the defensive pieces to do to Kemba what Toronto just did.

It's not just about running a box-and-one.  It's about running it with players who range between good and elite on defense.  Every single player in Toronto's rotation is a plus on that end of the court.

Meanwhile in Miami, they have Butler and Adebayo but they also have a lot of guys who I believe we can attack.  Crowder's solid but physically limited.  Iguodala is getting old.  Dragic, Herro, Robinson, Olynyk, Nunn.  We can score on these guys.
