The sleeper of the draft is Cassius Stanley out of Duke. Uber athlete with prototypical size, from a legit program. He's got great potential on both ends of the floor and his game and athleticism will translate well to the L. He could be a the steal with a late 1st round pick

He's really intriguing. 46.5" vertical (borderline alien) and runs well. I could see him being anything from Shabazz Muhammad to Gerald Green. His best case is a worse shooting better defending Zach Lavine, however that's unlikely

Anyone else getting serious ET vibes from Naji Marshall? Athletic wing who thrives scoring inside and playmaking for others, is solid on defence, and can't shoot to himself. No interest in him here, but could see Portland or GS taking him with a 2nd rounder in the 45-60 range.

I think he'll give a team a good playmaking wing off the bench if he reigns in his tendency of throwing up shots

The no shooting thing might doom him to go undrafted but the Evan Turner comp is scary and right on the nose. I'm not sure Turner can even play in the current NBA.

I think your Evan Turner types can still play backup point for certain teams, but probably end up getting stuck to the bench in the playoffs.

Yeah, for a playmaking non-shooting to play when it matters they really need to buy in on defence, or be a whiz passing the ball. Evan Turner has become a ghost over the last 18 months

Yep. He's the most explosive athlete in this draft.

Is Markus Howard just too small to play in the NBA? He is Issah Thomas like. Man he can shoot.

I still got Patrick Williams if he's there at 14.

then hope for Tillman at 26.

Then hope for Bane at 30...

If PWill not there I'm leaning Terry, but still do like Saadiq Bey...

Danny talked of drafting for need....in that sense suprised if he grabs Terry when we've got some years of Kemba left....unless he views Kemba's knee issue an excuse to call Terry a need...which is fine...and keeps him in his beloved guard mode ;D

Who might push P. Williams down to us?  Who picked before 14 that give you hope your binkie is there?  J. Smith, Cole Anthony, (even Tyrell Terry in my case of wanting P Will), and for me Nesmith going early, If some of these guys get picked between 10 and 13 I'll get real excited...Add Hampton and Achiuwa too.  Though Achiuwa intrigues me enough that I'm fine if danny likes and picks him...

We do need firepower off the bench and Terry provides that.

Yeah...would be an exciting pick...and would ensure that Philly doesn't nab him, which I really would hate.  He probably won't last to Philly anyway, but they could easily move up for him.  C's taking him eliminates that...

I obviously haven't watched him play in full games but he looks really promising from scouting reports and videos on YouTube: a guard who can really shoot, has good ball skills, IQ and most importantly the ability to move off-ball with decent size after his growth spurt screams a potential ceiling of Curry lite to me.

nbadraft.net has williams gone at 11.  they have the c's taking jalen smith at 14.  seems about right, we'd then have a jaylen, jalen, jayson on the team!

seriously, pg that can score!  ainge said it himself, kemba wasn't himself.  if i can't trade up, then the hayward/oladipo trade that has been talked about is the right call.  if you can get oladipo, do you then try to move kemba?  interesting...../

Jalen Smith at 14 seems to high.  26 or 30, sure.

The sleeper of the draft is Cassius Stanley out of Duke. Uber athlete with prototypical size, from a legit program. He's got great potential on both ends of the floor and his game and athleticism will translate well to the L. He could be a the steal with a late 1st round pick

I like him too!!

Stanley is an interesting prospect, first time I watched him I thought he was Jaylen Brown 2.0.

The couple of things that concern me,

He is really old for a freshman and will be 21 at the draft (older then Soph Vassell, Haliburton and Nesmith)

He has decent but not great size for a wing. I have seen him listed at 6'6 195 with a 6'7ws. At 21 being under 200lbs worries me. If he gains weight at the combine and retains his elite athletic stats I will bump him up.

While is age and less then elite size limits my projection of his ceiling it is easy to project him as a rotational level back up wing who hits open 3s and abuses close outs. I would be fine with Cs drafting him late first and thrilled if he was available at 47.
