Just thinking about Magic on the fastbreak with Drexler on one wing and Barkley on the other wing -- there is no way to defend against that!

Killer transition offense.
And Worthy as another fast break guy! I'm terrified of their offensive rebounding and fast break offense lol, hoping that KG and Cowens can hold strong against them.

I forgot about Worthy. Man, Portland are huge on the perimeter.

Magic at 6-9. Drexler at 6-7. Worthy at 6-9.

That is a whole lot of size and length.
Don't worry I made up for it with the smallest PF.  In all seriousness, when it became clear that my team wasn't going to have the super elite defenders in the starting unit, I decided that I would not only go offensive, but try to get super big and long players at as many positions as possible to create as many mismatches and size advantages as possible.  The size and length will also help defensively as you can make up for some lesser defensive ability with length.

Even Chuck's lack of size I think is an advantage as he was incredibly strong, and was also faster than most PF's.  In addition, because he is much closer to the ground, it is much harder for the bigger men to dribble on him (shoot over, sure, but not go around).  Then you add that all 5 of my starters were excellent rebounders and could run the floor (moses a bit less on the latter), an I think I've crafted by far the best offensive team.  Defensively will be the challenge I think, but I have some great ideas for my bench that I think will help balance out the team.  Still big and long, but will add some of the defense and shooting that I think I might need.

I like Dikembe a lot in this type of draft.  Big body with a lot of length who was also fast enough to stick with the more modern centers.  Offensively he isn't going to need touches at all, but can finish if called upon.  He is the perfect complimentary player in this sort of draft.

Sounds a lot like Nate Thurmond.

Like the Dikembe pick, though.
The concern I'd have with Thurmond is he was very inefficient on offense.  Even for his day, his shooting percentages were very low for someone that spent as much time around the basket as he did (not a terrible foul shooter though so there is some shooting potential there).  Superb defender and rebounder and a solid passer though.  Plus spent time playing with Wilt so he knows how to make it work with a great interior center that is better than he was.

Such a shame. I wouldn't be opposed to allowing him pick at the end of this round, if he shows.

He can just jump in and make pick 5(10) whenever he arrives I'm pretty sure

Good. I know how quickly things can pop up at a moment's notice, so I can sympathize.
